A message from a veteran about firearms in this country

That is a lie.......you can't post a link to that stat.......it is more common from a look at 5,000 stories of gun self defense by the Cato institute for the criminal to be disarmed than the victim....I can give you that link if you want it....

Please..post your link genius....and not by the gun grabber, the actual research......

We'll wait for it.......
Search up "Senator Evie Hudak." She ended up losing her job because she dared to speak against the NRA. This was in 2013, right after the Newtown and Aurora shootings

She may have lost her job but it would have been for denying Rights to her electorate....

Again..link to that statistic...

This story is the only somewhat unbiased one I could find that includes what she said.Colorado Gun Rights Activists Claim Another Scalp

In the article, it talks about how she told a gun nut that a woman was 81 times more likely to have the gun taken from her, than to use it in self defense

So the woman that used it to protect her has no Fucking right asshole?

That reminds me of a story of a kid picking up star fish and throwing one by one back into the ocean

A guy walks up and says son there are thousands of them..you can't save them all

The little kid picks up another throws it back and says " sure mister but I just saved this one"

I thought that was what you liberals and progressives are all about?
For every one woman who uses a gun to defend herself, there are Eighty ONE women who have died BECAUSE they were allowed to carry guns.

Concealed carry has killed 81 times more deaths than lives saved
And even if true – it in no way undermines the right of citizens to carry concealed firearms.

Dude, my friend is from Switzerland, and he did his mandatory military service there. He told me that all privately owned firearms, even a double barreled shotgun, are COMPLETELY ILLEGAL, and that the ammunition is kept by the MILITARY, not by local armories

Quot lying they can buy there military weapons.

Actually I'm pretty sure they get to keep their rifle from their military service. That's a large reason why there is such a high percentage of gun ownership in Switzerland. I'm not arguing there can be private gun ownership, but as far as military weapons goes, they can keep their weapons at home but the ammunition is rationed to them... as I said it is a preventative measure in case of a foreign invasion.

Yea evetythin I read is the same, they can buy there military weapons but the ammo is stored by the Swiss government.

I'm sure there are no swiss anywhere who load their own lol.

Thanks reminding me my friend like the Swiss watch or Swiss knife don't show what they can do with minimal of tools

The damn Swiss have better accuracy on machined products then even the Germans , plus their chocolate..its heaven and their damn air force wing runwAy built into a mountIn

Got to love the Swiss

Link..again it saved one woman's life the other 81 had that choice to fire or put it down..

The fact that they were given a choice to carry a gun everywhere ended up killing them.
There’s nothing in the text, history, or case law of the Constitution which requires citizens to exercise their fundamental rights in a responsible manner as a ‘prerequisite’ to indeed do so.

Technically there is. It's located within the ability for the Constitution to morph, and include laws created to expound on it, and the ability of the Supreme Court to interpret it.

You don't need to know a foreign language to pass the DLAB, it measures a persons ability to lean a language, not what they know. And yes a 99 is exceptionally rare, I dealt with thousands of service records, knew hundreds of recruiters in all services in my 5.5 years in recruiting and was aware of 1. I'd also make a bet that you weren't in the combat engineers.

You want to make a bet on if I got a 99 on the ASVAB? If you make it worth my while I'll dig up my original contract that shows my score and that I was being accepted as a Crytpological Linguist. So make it worth my while and I'll scan and post it.

Where did I say you didn't? I said it was extremely rare. And I was right, you were no 12B.

Never said I was a Combat engineer. I said I got a 99 on the ASVAB. When I got the 99 they didn't make a big deal out of it... I was just told that is as high as you can get and it is not based on number of questions you get correct, but based on your score verses the percentages of the rest of the scores. So getting a 99 is great, but if you base it against the scores of a bunch of knuckleheads, it's not that big of a deal.

Well your obvious intelligence seems to not be much of an asset, if you were paying attention the OP who also claimed a prefect score, said he was a 12B.

And? you said getting a 99 on the ASVAB was such a big deal and hard to get. You even doubled down later and said you only saw one in 5 and half years as a recruiter. I said it wasn't that rare and I got one too. After getting the 99 I was told I could pick whatever job I wanted except those that required a college degree. I decided to take the DLAB and go for Crytpological Linguist because the training is in Moneterey, California.

So tell me then what these numbers mean. AFQT: 99 , GT 127 , EL 132 , and MM 124? I'm guessing the MM was the mechanical part of the test.

Wow, so now I know of 2 in thousands, woopieeeeee! GT is general technical, EL is electrical, MM is mechanical maintenance. Also unless they've drastically changed the test since I was in, there are 7 aptitude areas scored not just 3. IN infantry, AE artillary, EL electrical, GM general mechanical, MM mechanical maintenance, CL clerical and GT general technical. The three are most likely what was required for the MOS you were enlisting for.

Those are the only ones listed on my paper, and I don't see how they have anything to do with Crytpological Linguist? My test was done in 2003.

My Remington 700 bolt is more than enough protection. Way more than enough. Gun kooky folk will disagree of course.

Not much good for a group of wild hogs, you'll get one shot, two if your really fast.

My evil eye and streets smarts is enough protection for me the past 51 years , my glock 9 mm is just for fun.

Oh yea and I have my blue pit.

.

If you wash your pits every once in awhile they won't stink or turn blue. Though I can see how the stick would keep people away and you protected.

Ya know I can see people's point about gun nuts they used to drive me crazy at my old job, so Fucking boring on how they had to carry all the time even going to walnart pfzzt please .

You might want to google the crime stats for Walmart.

Here, I overlapped two of the pages to cover my Social Security Number. The address and phone number are old so I don't care about those.

You'd have to ask the big heads that put the test together how they applied, I just went by the regulations they published. I retired in 2000.

to ensure the citizen militia was not outgunned.

Outgunned BY WHOM???? The problem with you folks is that you STILL think that someday the government is coming after your sorry ass......and if that moronic scenario were to happen, would you arm chair morons defeat the US military???
That means that we're wasting 700 BILLION per year on that military that couldn't "outgun" a bunch of idiots like we have on these forums.
hey nate if that scenario did happen would you resist or submit?...just askin....

Can you link us to the names of these women?

You've had a busy first day here. Welcome.

What kind of job did you find after you got out of the Army? What are you doing now for a job?

I go to college now. I also worked retail for a while after my military service, where I saw firsthand the poor treatment and struggles of minimum wage workers in this country

Spoken like a true socialist agitator. Are you also a member of Occupy Wall street? Did you know that it is the most wealthy of the one percenters who are pushing gun control in this country? I wonder why that is?:eusa_whistle::eusa_whistle::eusa_whistle::eusa_whistle:
The original post is a canned post by a paid poster... lol

Pretty funny isn't it. The progressives can't ever be truthful, or original. It's propaganda all the time. Pathetic.

So you are saying the First Amendment does not protect the I-pad, the computer, or the cell phone.......since they were not around at the creation of the Constitution and Bill of Rights? Really?

No, dimwit....What I AM stating is that the 1st amendment does not dictate that everyone should have an I-Pad in case the bad government comes after you., as you and your ilk are advocating that the 2nd amendment encourages for an armed to the teeth militia

Yes, I'd use my little hand gun and kitchen knife and probably resist for about 3 seconds before I'd be killed...So, maybe a few seconds less that you with your assault rifles........Please do NOT assume that an anti-automatic-gun advocate is necessary a yellow-bellied pacifist.

Yep, those were MOS specific requirements, I won't comment on the other information I got from that paperwork, other than to say good job on the bonus.

No it doesn't advocate it, it demands a well armed militia, and prohibits the feds from doing a damn thing about it.
