A short film on China's oppression

Wow, comparing the CCP under Xi Jinping to the USA? You can't be serious. And please spare us the history lesson from 200 years ago.

Why would I not be serious?

Comparing, you're not going to find everything the same, but you might learn something from it. China's oppression isn't as simple as you think it is.

Let's take the the US's attempts at creating a unified nation with China's attempts.
The US moved Native Americans out of their homes and on to reservations. The Trail of Tears was a particularly brutal example. The US killed those who got in their way.

We could look at religion, especially Islam. The Uighurs in Xinjiang, compared to the US's wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, the bombing of Libya, Syria, fighting in Somalia, the threats and sanctions against Iran etc etc.

You'll actually find lots of parallels, done in different ways. The US invades more than China which hasn't even tried to invade another country since the 1970s, compared to the US's Iraq and Afghanistan.

But I guess instead we can just throw emotion at each other in order to avoid discussing such a sensitive topic which might make you see your own country in a different light. Clearly you're a patriot who isn't interested in "the truth".

While we're talking about patriotism, China does flag flying in schools, they got that from the US, they're modelling their military on the US's military, same practices too.
