Alien: Covenant is an upcoming American science fiction horror film directed by Ridley Scott, with screenplay by John Logan and Dante Harper, from a story by Michael Green and Jack Paglen. It is the sequel to the 2012 film Prometheus, the second installment in the Alien prequel series, the sixth installment overall in the Alien film series, and the third installment to be directed by Scott (source of information: Wikipedia).

The film presents the story of the crew of the ship Covenant exploring a new 'paradise' which they discover is inhabited by malicious Xenomorph kingdoms.

I think this film stands out and is as potentially as engaging/offbeat as David Fincher's Alien 3, since it dares to present the notion that the human experience of contact with 'evil' literally changes our species imagination about survival.

Isn't that what metaphysics is all about? Scott's Alien:Covenant seems representative of 'imaginative' modern-age superstition.

GOD: Christopher Columbus would have liked these Alien films.
SATAN: Well, the Xenomorph creatures do occupy a 'new world.'
GOD: A hell.
SATAN: Yes, a terrible place.
GOD: How does exposure to terror alter your view of resilience?
SATAN: Well, it makes me think that flexibility is a key quality of life.
GOD: Flexibility and sensitivity.
SATAN: These Xenomorphs symbolize pure ambition.
GOD: Or a bloodlust.
SATAN: I think the creatures represent cannibalism.
GOD: I think they represent war.
SATAN: The Alien film franchise has become as intriguing as time-machine films.
GOD: Maybe the AntiChrist will be invisible.
SATAN: Why invisible?
GOD: You can't follow what you can't see.
SATAN: "In space, no one can hear you scream..."
