As a species : we’re almost brand new at 250,000 yrs or so
If you just examine the last few centuries it’s utterly astounding!!
From mastering electricity to computers to jet rocket engines to discovering planets and stars on the far side of the Milky Way
Maybe time travel and visiting the stars might be beyond us but it’s amazing that we accomplished more in the last 200 yrs than the previous 200,000
Beginning of HUMAN---aka HOMO SAPIEN history. All human brains across the board
have the capacity to engage in language and writing and reading excluding those
that are damaged or malformed. That which I described refers to the SAPIEN---in
homosapien ----not the course of evolution <<< opinion
Does that mean that people may become obsolete? Or perhaps a percentage will be discarded by the then leadership. The future is here and it's in AI that can write opinion comments on the internet, like you find peppering this message board and comment sections on the internet.
The future doesn't suddenly appear one day, it slowly builds. It builds on existing technology. It is now in data collection, analyses, proliferation. It is happening in building language models. Mechanical physics gave way to electronics that gave us data processing that is producing language models.
And the really cool thing is that this thread hit on it. The OP was talking about rockets and time travel and it someone went quickly to language. Almost like you can sense it.
