The Biden-Harris administration's 'America Last' policies have left the country vulnerable. Between draining the strategic petroleum reserve, sending hundreds of billions in cash and equipment to Ukraine (such as electrical transformers that are now needed for Hurricane Helene), and FEMA spending $640 million to help migrants, the agency tasked with emergency preparedness is now 'broke,' and doesn't have enough money to get through hurricane season which typically lasts through November.
According to AP,

The agency is being stretched as it works with states to assess damage from Hurricane Helene and delivers meals, water, generators and other critical supplies. The storm struck Florida last week, then plowed through several states in the Southeast, flooding towns and killing more than 160 people. ​

Mayorkas was not specific about how much additional money the agency may need, but his remarks on Air Force One underscored concerns voiced by President Joe Biden and some lawmakers earlier this week that Congress may need to pass a supplemental spending bill this fall to help states with recovery efforts.​

"We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have. We are expecting another hurricane hitting," said Mayorkas, adding "FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season.

There's a cry being shouted by the victims of Hurricane Helene in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, & Tennessee for basic necessities like water, food, blankets and shelter.
It's totally unconscionable that the Biden Administration, and his fellow Neo-Marxist travelers and their weaponzied agencies refuse to assist the victims of Hurricane Helene..
It appears that Emergency management and disaster relief are no longer the primary job of FEMA. EQUITY has become their primary job.
White Americans are not included any longer in the efforts of FEMA...
Four years ago Joey BaiDung promised $1500 checks as part of his election snake oil sale.
Today the offer is $750 to those white folks in Appalachia that have been wiped out by Hurricane Helene.
Some may say that it is incompetence on the part of this administration, while others have concluded that it is premeditated measured evil.

FEMA implemented a status called Immediate Needs Funding (INF). 2024 makes the tenth time since 2001 that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has implemented the status to help extend the remaining balance of the Disaster Relief Fund (DRF). Under the status called "Immediate Needs Funding," FEMA pauses payments related to Public Assistance (PA) that are not essential for lifesaving or life-sustaining activities.

When FEMA gets an injection of new funding to the DRF from Congress, payments will resume to cover the expense of the paused PA projects.

Since 2001, FEMA has implemented INF status a total of ten times: 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2017, 2019, 2023 and 2024.

According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), hurricanes have the largest impact on DRF spending, and FEMA says large responses deplete the fund rapidly. A November 2022 report from the CBO outlines how hurricanes impact the DRF and FEMA's obligations to help communities recover from major disasters.
