American Dream Crusher..

Democrats are always willing to blame others for their policy failures but as a last resort will try to share the blame.

Kind of Like what you are doing?

Here's what I remember telling my boys about politics when they were young:

Republicans may insist that individuals flounder for themselves at the risk of peril, while Democrats will embrace their shortcomings and lavish them with the gift of entitlement (at taxpayer expense).

I followed that with the question "Under which scenario would you be motivated to better yourself and become independent, self-sufficient, and productive in society"?

Today each of them are employed, doing what the love, and are making more money than dad. They work their asses off, pay taxes, and don't bitch about the 1%.

Now I am reluctant to inform them that the majority of their efforts (taxes) are funneled to the tens of millions of Americans who are not motivated, pay no taxes, and are unproductive citizens of this country.

Should I burst their bubble?

If they have gotten that far they already know it.

Who else..Obama and liberal Democrat polices.

Four out of 5 U.S. adults struggle with joblessness, near-poverty or reliance on welfare for at least parts of their lives, a sign of deteriorating economic security and an elusive American dream.

80 percent of U.S. adults face near-poverty, unemployment, survey finds - CBS News

That worked so well last year, didn't it?

You mean the Democrat policies of making voters reliant on welfare and entitlements?

It's amazing that upwards mobility has been on the decline for years. But it's Obama and the Dems fault!
No partisanship here!
Exactly how long has it been going on? How long has the discussion been going on about inequality? How long has inequality been happening?
Below will give you a hint.

whose been in power for the last 5 years?

I would put blame on both parties. Just sayin.

I agree, especially since the progressives in the Republican Party are nothing more than rubber stamps for the Democrats policies and economics

Then find us something to debunk it! Stop flapping your goddamned jaws!

Give any Texan a good enema and he could be buried in a goddamned shoebox!

How can 80% of adults be jobless with a 7.5 % unemployment rate?

YOU HATER DUPES ARE SO DAMN DUMB. THE NONRICH AND THE COUNTRY HAVE BEEN GOING TO HELL SINCE VOODOO TAX RATES STARTED. Then we had the BOOOSH meltown and five years of total Pub obstruction and you blame Obama....ay caramba....Change the gd channel, functional morons...

1. WORKERS past 63 years worker productivity has grown by 2.0% per year.But after 1980, workers received a smaller share every year. Labor’s share of income (1992 = 100%):1950 = 101%1960 = 105%1970 = 105%1980 = 105% – Reagan1990 = 100%2000 = 96%2007 = 92%A 13% drop since 1980A 13% drop since 1980

2. THE TOP 10% GET A LARGER SHARE.Share of National Income going to Top 10%:1950 = 35%1960 = 34%1970 = 34%1980 = 34% – Reagan1990 = 40%2000 = 47%2007 = 50%

TO MAKE UP FOR THE LOSS.Household Debt as percentage of GDP:1965 = 46%1970 = 45%1980 = 50% – Reagan1990 = 61%2000 = 69%2007 = 95% An increase of 16% since Reagan.

3. WORKERS COMPENSATED FOR THE LOSS OF INCOME BY SPENDING THEIR SAVINGS.The savings Rose up to Reagan and fell during and after.1950 = 6.0%1960 = 7.0%1970 = 8.5%1980 = 10.0% – Reagan1982 = 11.2% – Peak1990 = 7.0%2000 = 2.0%2006 = -1.1% (Negative = withdrawing from savings)

Household Debt as percentage of GDP:1965 = 46%1970 = 45%1980 = 50% – Reagan1990 = 61%2000 = 69%2007 = 95%A 45% increase after 1980.

5. SO THE GAP BETWEEN THE RICHEST AND THE POOREST HAS GROWN.Gap Between the Share of Capital Income earned by the top 1%and the bottom 80%:1980 = 10%2003 = 56%A 5.6 times increase.

6. AND THE AMERICAN DREAM IS GONE.The Probably of Moving Up from the Bottom 40% to the Top 40%:1945 = 12%1958 = 6%1990 = 3%2000 = 2%A 10% Decrease.
