An irrational look at Israel by two educated fools

georgephillip is typical of the disinformation tactics from-the-river-to- the-sea libs use

The Jews paid for the land that libs claim was stolen

When the lie is exposed libs just move on to something else without skipping a beat
The Jews paid with Arab blood:

TERROR OUT OF ZION - IRGUN ZVAI LEUMI, LEHI, AND THE PALESTINE UNDERGROUND, 1929-1949 | Office of Justice Programs

"ANOTHER UNDERGROUND JEWISH TERRORIST GROUP, LOHAMEY HERUTH ISRAEL (FIGHTERS FOR THE FREEDOM OF ISRAEL) OR LEHI, WAS FORMED UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF AVRAHAM STERN AND CAME TO BE PERCEIVED BY CONVENTIONAL EYES AS THE MOST VIOLENT AND UNRESTRAINED TERRORIST ORGANIZATION OF THE MODERN ERA."

That was an unavoidable product of two people fighting over the same land

Thats why the UN 2-state compromise was necessary

Unfortunately the arabs rejected a peaceful solution

Too bad you dont agree,

But ehen the arabs rejected peace in 1948 they sealed their own fate

All the killing since then has been their fault

Fascinating to see the Cognitively Rigid rationalise the slaughter of 36000 Palestinians ( official) but certainly even more .

Arguing about events 60- 90 years ago which have no relevance to the present pariah nation Israel pursuing Apartheid and Genocide .

Thats a claim of Hamas without independent verification

If you dont like discussing facts that are 70 years old that show arab culpability wr only need to go back to 2005 instead

Since 2005 the Pals had self rule in Gaza and no war

But Hamas used the opportunity to murder innocent Jews in Israel

All the killing since then is caused by that

NOT EVEN NUTTY THE HITLER IMPERSONATOR DARES TO ARGUE THAT .THE TRUE FIGURE ISALMOST CERTAINLY MUCH HIGHER.

HARDLY RELEVANT IN THE MIDDLE OF A WAR

But Hamas used the opportunity to murder innocent Jews in Israel
NO RIGHT MINDED PERSON CAN FULLY BLAME THEM

All the killing since then is caused by that
THERE IS NO LOGIC THAT LEADS TO THAT CONCLUSION.
YOU SIMPLY REPEAT A BELIEF ,AND RIGHTLY OR WRONGLY THE VAST MAJORITY OF PEOPLE WORD WIDE TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH YOU .

I blame arabs for this war because they murdered over 1000 innocent people in cold blood simply because they were Israeli Jews

Like the man said, Hamas sowed the wind and now they must reap the whirlwind

Why did Arabs reject the UN's proposal?

First, the UN ignored its own Charter by not calling for free elections in 1948 Palestine in order to create a democratic state instead of a Jewish state.

Second, Arabs objected to a minority of Mandate Palestine's population (Jews) receiving a majority of the land.

Many Arabs in 1948 were also well aware how Zionist plans for turning Palestine into a Jewish majority state predated the UN Partition Plan by decades:

Plan Dalet - Wikipedia

"Plan Dalet (Hebrew: תוכנית ד', Tokhnit dalet "Plan D") was a Zionist military plan executed in the civil war phase of the 1948 Palestine war for the conquest of territory in Mandatory Palestine in preparation for the establishment of a Jewish state..."

"Etymology

"Its name comes from the letter Dalet (ד), the fourth letter of the Hebrew alphabet, after plans named Aleph (א), Bet (ב), and Gimel (ג) were revised.

"Background

"In the summer of 1937, according to the official history of the Haganah, the commander of their forces in the Tel Aviv area, Elimelech Slikowitz ('Avnir') received an order from Ben-Gurion.

"Ben-Gurion, anticipating an eventual British withdrawal from the country after the Peel Report, asked Slikowitz to prepare a plan for the military conquest of the whole of Palestine.

"According to the historians Walid Khalidi and Ahmad H. Sa'di, it was this Avnir Plan which provided a blueprint for future plans.

"The blueprint was refined in subsequent adjustments (A, B, C) before emerging in its final form over a decade later as Plan Dalet.[11][12]

I get it that the arabs objected to a Jewish state even in part of the Holy Land

So they tried to use war to get their way

But they lost the war

And every war since 1948

When are they going to wise up?

Slightly off topic, have you any thoughts on the USS Liberty incident in 1967? Any thoughts on how thoroughly AIPAC calls the tune in the US Congress?

Israel admitted attacking the Liberty but claims it was a mistake

Which may or may not be true

Its very similar to the Panay Incident in 1937 china

The japanese claimed that was mistaken identity also but no one believed them

And yes, I concede that Israel has a lot of influence in congress

Arabs didn't lose in Lebanon in 2006, and they are not losing in Gaza today. Jews rule from the River to the sea only because of their commitment to ethnic cleansing backed by their usefulness to the US war machine.

Invasions fail to break spirit of resistance in Jabaliya

The Lebanon border war was inconclusive but very costly to Israel with questionable results

It didnt stop the rocket attacks that continue to this day

But that was a skirmish compared to 1948, 1967, and 1973 where the existence of Israel hung in the balance

How would you compare the current threat level to Israel's existence to '48, '67, and '73?

1948 was the greatest threat because Israel was weakest and least prepared to repel the 5 arab armies that were invading

Its a modern miracle that Israel survived

2nd would be 1973 when the IDF was complacent not expecting a surprise attack on Yom Kippur

They took much higher losses than in 1967

If they lost any one of those wars the State of Israel would not exist today

Why do you believe the Jewish state has a right to exist when White South Africa did not?

Brothers in arms - Israel's secret pact with Pretoria

"During the second world war the future South African prime minister John Vorster was interned as a Nazi sympathiser.

"Three decades later he was being feted in Jerusalem. In the second part of his remarkable special report, Chris McGreal investigates the clandestine alliance between Israel and the apartheid regime, cemented with the ultimate gift of friendship - A-bomb technology."

How much land was purchased by Jews between the 1880s and the 1930s?

How many Arabs were displaced by those purchases?

How does that number compare to the 700,000 Arabs driven from their homes in 1948?

Jewish land purchase in Palestine - Wikipedia

"From the 1880s to the 1930s, most Jewish land purchases were made in the coastal plain, the Jezreel Valley, the Jordan Valley and to a lesser extent the Galilee.[18]

"This was due to a preference for land that was cheap and without tenants.[18]

"There were two main reasons why these areas were sparsely populated.

"The first reason being when the Ottoman power in the rural areas began to diminish in the seventeenth century, many people moved to more centralized areas to secure protection against the Bedouin tribes.[18]

"The second reason for the sparsely populated areas of the coastal plains was the soil type.

"The soil, covered in a layer of sand, made it impossible to grow the staple crop of Palestine, corn.[18]

"As a result, this area remained uncultivated and underpopulated.[10] 'The sparse Arab population in the areas where the Jews usually bought their land enabled the Jews to carry out their purchase without engendering a massive displacement and eviction of Arab tenants'"

From your link.

On 1 April 1945, the British administration's statistics showed that Jewish buyers had legal ownership over approximately 5.67% of the Mandate's total land area, while state-owned domain was 46%.

By the end of 1947, Jewish ownership had increased to 6.6%.

This cycle of land acquisition ultimately ended when the Israeli Declaration of Independence yielded the founding of the Jewish state on 14 May 1948.

Was it the Irgun or the Stern gang that murdered Count Folke Bernadotte in Jerusalem after he saved 30,000 Jews from the Holocaust?

Because they are God’s chosen people and the Holy Land rightfully belongs to the Jews

Of course thats spiritual and I doubt if you believe in God

But legally, Israel was created under UN auspices and is a sovereign nation
