And so it begins.

Let's begin with this, trump's goal coming in to the start of his admin is to purge the government of those viewed to be disloyal. This has been well advertised.

Exactly what Obama did when he was elected.

Yes, but it was okay when Obama did it.

Right, USMB leftists?

Prove it or STFU. Show me any reference to Obama doing anything like this.

Want a Job in the Trump Administration? Be Prepared for the Loyalty Test.

At the Trump transition offices in West Palm Beach, Fla., prospective occupants of high posts inside the Pentagon and the intelligence agencies typically run through a gamut of three to four interviews, conducted in recent weeks by a mix of Silicon Valley investors and innovators and a team of the MAGA faithful.

The applicants report that they have been asked about how to overhaul the Pentagon, or what technologies could make the intelligence agencies more effective, or how they feel about the use of the military to enforce immigration policy. But before they leave, some of them have been asked a final set of questions that seemed designed to assess their loyalty to President-elect Donald J. Trump.

The questions went further than just affirming allegiance to the incoming administration. The interviewers asked which candidate the applicants had supported in the three most recent elections, what they thought about the events of Jan. 6, 2021, and whether they believed the 2020 election was stolen. The sense they got was that there was only one right answer to each question.

Can't really blame them. Democrats in government are far more loyal to their party than they are the nation.

And they've been fucking up shit for years now.

Former Proud Boys leader being processed for release from prison, lawyer tells NBC

Enrique Tarrio, the former Proud Boys leader whom a jury convicted of seditious conspiracy for his role in the Jan. Capitol riot, is being processed for release from federal prison, his attorney told NBC News.

Tarrio, who is serving a 22-year prison sentence in Louisiana — the longest term of anyone convicted in relation to the riot — is expecting to soon get a grant of clemency from Trump, attorney Nayib Hassan told NBC.

“He is being processed out,” Hassan said. “We do not know what type of clemency he is receiving.”

Any member of law enforcement who isn't having second thoughts if they voted for the Felon-in-Chief disgraces him or herself and the officers who defended the Constitutional order on Jan. 6. If trump can do this there's nothing he won't do.

The entire country should be taken aback by this degree of disregard for lawlessness. Instead, The Following revels in it.

He's doing what I voted for him to do -- making America no longer subservient. I know that makes you sad.

Too bad.

A Trump Executive Order Sets Out What Could Be a Road Map for Retribution

Since his election victory, President Trump has said he would not seek retribution against his perceived enemies. “I’m not looking to go into the past,” he said last month on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “Retribution will be through success.”

But in an executive order he signed on Monday night, Mr. Trump made clear that he has every intention to seek out and possibly punish government officials in the Justice Department and America’s intelligence agencies as a way to “correct past misconduct” against him and his supporters.

It would be justice, the order said, against officials from the Biden administration who carried out an “unprecedented, third-world weaponization of prosecutorial power to upend the democratic process.”

This is what retribution could look like during the second Trump presidency: payback dressed up in the language of victimhood.

It's going to be worse than I thought.

trumples will say this is what they voted for. Unwittingly admitting they are the problem.

It could get ugly. Hopefully Trump gets distracted by something shiny.

Well, arguably he's been distracted by the millions he has corruptly made by his entrance in to the crypto biz. But few thins will deter him from retribution. He lives for it.

If no one in the Biden Admin broke the law, there's nothing to get retribution about, is there?

Sure are a lot of worried Democrats, though. Think maybe there's a reason?

No, of course you don't.

President Trump fired at least 12 inspectors general late on Friday night, three people with knowledge of the matter said, capping a week of dramatic shake-ups of the federal government with a purge of independent watchdog officials created by Congress to root out abuse and illegality within federal agencies.

The move capped a week of major shake-ups of the federal bureaucracy focused on loyalty to the president, three people with knowledge of the matter said

Two people with knowledge of the matter said on Friday night that 17 inspectors general had been terminated; a third person said on Saturday morning that the figure was at least twelve. A White House spokesman would not comment for the record, and did not respond to a request for a list of those who had been terminated.

Presidents have the prerogative to dismiss inspectors general. However, they are supposed to give Congress 30 days’ notice before they do so and provide specific reasons. The White House spokesman did not respond to a question about why that law was not followed.

Trump Fires at Least 12 Inspectors General in Late-Night Purge

I can answer that question. It's because the trump admin is not going to follow any law it doesn't feel like following.

Trump Stocks E.P.A. With Oil, Gas and Chemical Lobbyists

President Trump is stocking the Environmental Protection Agency with officials who have served as lawyers and lobbyists for the oil and chemical industries, many of whom worked in his first administration to weaken climate and pollution protections.

Lee Zeldin, Mr. Trump’s choice to lead the E.P.A., has little experience with environmental policy. He will be expected to hit the ground running, though, to fulfill Mr. Trump’s fire hose of orders directing the agency to cut regulations.

Mr. Zeldin’s Senate confirmation vote has not yet been scheduled but he has already marshaled more than a dozen deputies and senior advisers. The quick appointments are in contrast to Mr. Trump’s first term, when many Republicans hesitated to join the administration and internal squabbling delayed the selection of the deputy administrator as well as the chief air pollution regulator for nearly a year.

If you are hellbent on allowing industry to pollute the environment with various kinds of toxins these are exactly the kinds of people you want to run the EPA.
