Another MASS murder just happened. In a police station WITH A KNIFE.

Was it a single stab knife or a semi-auto knife or a full auto knife?
Did the knife hold more than ten blades?

Where was Crocodile Dundee when they needed him?

Paris knife attack: 4 people killed at police headquarters - Live updates - CNN

4 dead from knife attack. Time for knife control legislation?

You joke, but this has actually been proposed in the UK as a solution to the ever rising incidents knife crimes, including proposals for a ban on the sale of sharp/pointy kitchen knives, and a mandate requiring that the pointy end of knives be filed down.

Knives are too sharp and filing them down is solution to soaring violent crime, judge says

A judge has proposed a nationwide programme to file down the points of kitchen knives as a solution to the country’s soaring knife crime epidemic.

Last week in his valedictory address, retiring Luton Crown Court Judge Nic Madge spoke of his concern that carrying a knife had become routine in some circles and called on the Government to ban the sale of large pointed kitchen knives.

Latest figures show stabbing deaths among teenagers and young adults have reached the highest level for eight years, and knife crime overall rose 22 per cent in 2017.

...

"The reason why [laws designed to reduce the availability of weapons to young would-be offenders] have little effect is that the vast majority of knives carried by youths are ordinary kitchen knives. Every kitchen contains lethal knives which are potential murder weapons."

“I would urge all those with any role in relation to knives - manufacturers, shops, the police, local authorities, the government - to consider preventing the sale of long pointed knives, except in rare, defined, circumstances, and replacing such knives with rounded ends.

This literally proves the point that crazy people who are determined to commit violent crime will not be stopped by outlawing a given type of weapon, and that lawmakers will continue to try to ban whatever objects are used by crazy people to commit violent crimes until we're at the point that every routine object is regulated as a weapon, including lighter fluid, crowbars, and slingshots & marbles
