U.S. suicide rates up, especially for women - CNN.com
In both 1999 and 2014, firearms were the most common method by which men took their own lives, although the proportion of all suicides in men that were firearm-related decreased from 61.7% to 55.4%. Among women, poisoning was the most common method in 2014 and accounted for 34.1% of suicides, down from 36% in 1999.
Question for the anti gunners.......how is it possible that poisoning is the most popular method of suicide for women....? One of the founding beliefs of your anti gun stance is that guns make it easier for people to commit suicide and that less guns means less suicide.....of course this post shows that is wrong....amd the fact that women use poison, not guns is another knife in the heart of your belief system.......
If you guys got rid of all guns......men would just use poison...or jump off of buildings....or in front of trains......
Also.....guns have been shown by a recent Flemish Institute of Peace study to have little or no impact on homicide or suicide rates.......
Do you hear that crashing sound....it is the lies and myths of the anti gun movement crashing and burning.......
