Arizona police officer asked not to wear uniform at daughter’s school

Ya, wouldn't want any cops hanging around our schools

So? The cops are militarized. They should probably start acting that way. Military folks don't parade around the place in their damn uniforms when they're not active.

I'm just saying it's frowned upon. They do it to get accolades and get laid. "thank you for your service". What a load of crap. Any tenured soldier would frown on this in my experience.

Is he directly on his way to or from work when he's picking her up? If so his only answer should have been go fuck yourselves.

If he is on his way to work or just got done with his work hours, I don't see a problem with him being in his uniform or even if he wants to wear all the time. What's it to those who say it can't be on him?

God bless you and him always!!! :) :) :)

P.S. To me, the man should be thanked for putting his life on the line just to keep our lives safe.

Spoken like a truly ignorant dumbass.

I served in the military, people running errands or picking up kids before/after work wear their uniforms because it is the easiest thing to do. What branch did you serve in where someone would change out of uniform on the way to work dropping off their daughter?

Marine Corps used to require you to change to stop between work and home. Then they allowed emergency stops.

Something smells in this situation because in the Mesa Public Schools School-Resource Officers are Uniformed police Officers. "Neither Mesa police nor the school district keep formal numbers that prove that the SROs deter crime. But officials with both organizations say it’s only logical that the presence of uniformed police officers stops at least some crime on school campuses".
