If people would bother to read the whole article, it states that he'd bought 2 guns at the same time. Straw purchases (buying guns for other people, which is where most criminals get their guns) has been a problem, and they were just there to make sure he'd bought them for himself, and not bought them and given them to someone else. And, if you think about it, many of the mass shootings that have happened have been done by a person with several weapons at the shooting scene. You conservatives say that only law abiding people should be able to have guns. If you are law abiding, you should have no problem with the police just doing a quick check. And, according to the article, they asked about all the guns, but only needed to see one to make sure he was legit. Sorry, but this is a lot of hue and cry over nothing.

I saw where the ATF agent said this: "It just came up. We came here… There’s an email from the federal side saying can you make sure this guy’s got his guns (<<<that's plural). If you recently purchased a whole bunch of guns, if we can look at them and just scratch them off”.

The agent saw a single weapon. On what planet does that satisfy his task of verifying that the individual has more than one of the guns he bought?
