You want to read "Trance Formation of America" if you want to read one of the most sad, disgusting, and frightening books on child sex trafficking and just how deeply into our government pedophilia goes. It's a riveting book that you can't put down until you're finished reading it.

Sorry, but books with graphic details about rape and sexual slavery have no business in public schools.

If "rape" and sexuality topic covering books are allowed in US public schools (what age level?) I don't see a problem with one that is about rape and sexual slavery.
Ottoman crimes or e.g. the 30 years war in Europe with all it's atrocities - are part of the curriculum in public schools in Europe. So is e.g. the womanizing Zeus hopping around as a horny swan onto Leda.

yes it is - and especially female tourists are very keen to "study" it, but what does the statue of David have to do with graphic details about rape in a school book?

What are children expected to learn from reading this book?
How to focus on topics they're too young to focus on when they should be learning arithmetic, history, grammar/English/spelling/writing, metal shop, home economics, etc.
