The newborn elephant began crying and wouldn't stop for a long time after he was separated from his mom for his own safety by zookeepers in China. Oh, this is sad. I love elephants. Serious question: I wonder if elephants get post-partum depression.

it is said to be very rare for the mother to reject a calf.....poor thing...
