A remake? No. It won't be worth a shit.

Paul veerhoven is what made basic instinct so good. He has this amazing way of making trashy movies incredibly entertaining. Sure robocop and total recall had good stories before he directed them, but he made basic instinct and showgirls very enjoyable despite being not very good.

In the 90s there were a lot of movies where the woman was the killer though.

Serial mom.
