It is obvious that despite all of Trump's public statements about how much he is worth he doesn't have near the money to cover his new expenses.
His attorneys filed another ridiculous motion this week attempting to delay his accountability yet a little longer.
Judge Engoron today shot that motion down.
Was there ever any doubt?
Every day that goes by the story of Donald Trump is looking more and more like that old children's fairy tale "The Emperor's New Clothes."
My guess is this two bit con man who has been defrauding New York state for decades and who defrauded America for four years in the White House doesn't have half a billion dollars in liquidity to pay his fines. Likewise he's probably realizing he's going to have a very difficult time securing a bond after being convicted of business fraud....even if he could afford the markup cost of such a bond.
Meanwhile interest on his fines is costing him a reported $87,500 a day.
On a more positive note if anyone is looking for good, rock bottom prices on things like gold escalators and bathroom fixtures keep an eye out for yard sales at Trump Tower any day now.

- James, in a Monday interview with ABC News, said that if Trump did not promptly fork over the millions in penalties imposed by Engoron, the state would look to seize his real estate assets.
- "If he does not have funds to pay off the judgment, then we will seek judgment enforcement mechanisms in court, and we will ask the judge to seize his assets," James said, adding, "We are prepared to make sure that the judgment is paid to New Yorkers, and yes, I look at 40 Wall Street [a Lower Manhattan Trump property] each and every day."
Trump legal news brief: Clerk files final $464 million fraud judgment against Trump, starting clock for him to pay up
A clerk for the New York County Supreme Court enters in the judgment for former President Donald Trump’s financial fraud trial and New York Attorney General Letitia James submits paperwork that starts a 30-day countdown until Trump is forced to begin paying off the $464,576,230 civil judgment...
