Ben Affleck Slams Bill Maher for "Racist," "Ugly" Views in Heated Islam Debate

Watch the whole video.

Ben Affleck and Bill Maher clearly have differing views on Islam.
The Gone Girl star appeared on Friday's Real Time With Bill Maher, and the two sparred when Affleck felt Maher and guest Sam Harris were painting an overly broad and negative picture of those who practice Islam.
Affleck did not appreciate Harris' comment that Americans have been "sold this meme of Islamophobia." Affleck responded by asking Harris, "Hold on — are you the person who officially understands the codified doctrine of Islam?"

"It's gross, it's racist," Affleck added about Maher and Harris' remarks. "It's like saying, 'Oh, you shifty Jew.' " Maher told Affleck that he wasn't actually listening to them.
Harris said Islam is currently the "motherload of bad ideas," with which Maher agreed, leading Affleck to counter: "It's just an ugly thing to say."

I watched the entire exchange. It was all about a matter of degrees. Ben Afflect was saying that only a very few Muslims are radical. Bill Mayer was saying that most but not all are.
We know it's more than a very few but certainly not all.

If Republicans had known and understood that, they wouldn't have been so foolhardy in their invasion of Iraq. Many Americans understood that but no one would listen to them. Not the uber peacenik liberals who feel it's politically incorrect to profile no matter the circumstances and not the ignorant right wing who think they have the right to tell foreigners what to do, or tell anybody what to do for that matter.

Groups like ISIS/ISIL, Al Qaeda, Boko-Haram, Al Shabab, et cetera, are merely adhering strictly to the Muhammad's teachings in the Quran.
While I hate them and what they do, I at least respect them in that they aren't using "taqiyya" (lying to protect the religion). They're being quite honest. They should, however, be wiped out and those that preach its teachings, driven back to the Middle-East and North Africa.

He had a point and got it across.

Groups like ISIS/ISIL, Al Qaeda, Boko-Haram, Al Shabab, et cetera, are merely adhering strictly to the Muhammad's teachings in the Quran.

If those groups actually exist is quite questionable. Do you feel the same animus in regards to "Jews" who adhere to the teachings of the Old Testament and Talmud?

Not surprising that the Jew hating Nazi Snouter brings up Jews in a thread about something else.
Do you check for Jews under your bed before you go to sleep at night ?
