Yeah, tries to explain to the socialist how much better a free market is for healthcare and why it would work.

Doubt leftists will even attempt to listen.

I watched it, I also call bullshit. I live in a country with socialized medicine I will respond to some of the flaws I heard in this clip. My wife's American so I do have a frame of reference. See if you have the courage to respond. First," x-rays are expensive because there is no free market." The cost of an x-ray, or an MRI for that matter is fixed in my country. I pay about 50 dollars for them. Our health care is WAY more regulated then the US health care system so that blows that argument out of the water. Second " Having a free market will make health care cheaper, higher quality and more inclusive". Since most other Western countries have socialized medicine and that entails EVERYBODY is included, that flies in the face of the for profit medicine in the US which has MILLIONS of people not included. Higher quality is debatable because at the highest level of medicine you might be able to make a case, since doctors make more money in the US and money attracts talent. On the other hand since most people don't need House but a decent oncologist or pediatrician or what not I wouldn't bet it makes a meaningful difference. Cheaper is another one. Your health care system is about twice as expensive as mine, so pray tell how that math works,List of countries by total health expenditure per capita - Wikipedia
Thirdly;" getting the government to run healthcare disincentivize becoming a doctor". Atm medical school is the only college degree in my country that demands entrance exams to be admitted due to an abundance of interest. Countries Compared by Health > Physicians > Per 1,000 people. International Statistics at NationMaster.com the US the place where doctors are payed the most is 52 in this ranking. My country is number 12.

Chances are USA is way richer than your country because we don't engage in this sort of socialist stupidity. Which why everything across the board is more expensive, because the country is just plain better, with everyone wanting in.

Why don't you flock back over to your socialist country and get right out of the US board? Most have figured that you are here only because of envy.

The United States is 20 trillion dollars in debt, can any other country touch that amount?

You say you pay $50 for an X-ray or an MRI. That's nice, but how much does the X-ray or MRI actually COST? And who's picking up the amount you're not paying for?

And no, the extra regulations you have don't "blow the argument out of the water". All that means is that you're shifting even more of the cost of healthcare onto taxes, not that you're actually lowering costs. Furthermore, can we look at how long it takes to get an X-ray/MRI in the UK compared to the US?

We're not interested in copying the UK's system precisely because we don't want to lose the high quality we have in some lame attempt to make it cheap and inclusive. The free market would allow for all those things much better.

If you would have bothered to check the links I provided you would have noticed that the healthcare cost was out of pocket PLUS taxes.
I also want to point out that in my country (Belgium, not Brittain)We have higher life expectancy not to mention we score better on overal health indices. So what quality are you referring to?

They are allowed their opinions I'm only interested that they can actually rationalise it. Something I doubt considering the quality of the post.

We’re well behind the rest of the industrialized
world in healthcare. The GOP complained about the ACA for 7 years and when he came time to roll out their counter plan it was a spectacular failure.Monumental failure.
We need to catch up with the rest of the world with universal coverage.
The USA is well below the scale and standard as you pointed out.

In the interest of honesty I have to say that I doubt the US would be capable of instituting universal coverage in the European sense. We keep health care cheap by measures that take more than simply making Medicare universal. It ranges from very cheap education, to reduced oportunity for malpractice suits(it excist but the damaged awarded are smaller), to the government negioating directly whith farmaceutical companies about pricing. And even forcing doctor's to perscribe generic medicines over name brands when available. Just want to point out that healthcare and it's cost is a complex societal issue. I appoligize for misspelling.Typing on my phone makes it harder.
