Bernie: I Don't Believe in Charities

What a good Communist. We all know how accountable and efficient the government is, so let's take more of your money by force.

From a 1981 NYT article:

For the kickoff of the 40th annual Chittenden County United Way fund-raising drive in Burlington, Vt., the sponsors considered themselves fortunate to have as guests Mayor Bernard Sanders of Burlington and Gov. Richard Snelling of Vermont. . .

I don’t believe in charities,” said Mayor Sanders, bringing a shocked silence to a packed hotel banquet room. The Mayor, who is a Socialist, went on to question the ”fundamental concepts on which charities are based” and contended that government, rather than charity organizations, should take over responsibility for social programs.

He's mostly right. Charity alone will never take care of the needy. It's a RW ruse to rationalize their greed.

Ironic given he wants to turn this nation into a charity
No, he thinks were all too stupid to survive without the benevolence of Government

Unfortunately he's half right.
The can do rugged individual that America was built on is becoming an endangered species.

Half the nation is cowering in safe places

We need to raise the voting age to 25.
I better solution is anyone who votes Democrat should be the only ones paying for these handouts.

That would change the election in a micro-second.

Our nation should be ashamed of itself. The Republicans want all the money and if something isn't done to head them off they'll have it...thanks to Reagan and the Bushes:

Income inequality is the same thing as climate change. It's all based on fraud.

We are from the federal government and are here too help... Lol
Scariest goddamn phrase in the world

Bernie Sanders is a certifiable loon. What does it say about democrats that so many of them are supporting him?

Everything Bush & Romney ever said or did, all the way back to their youths, was used against them. But Sanders will get the typical liberal double standard treatment.

It all started with Reagan's tax cuts for the rich. That's when I changed parties. I voted Republican for a solid 30 years, Eisenhower, Goldwater, Nixon three times........even Reagan the first time. Phuck'Em!!! I'll never vote for another Republican in a national election if I live to 100.

Democrats generated and passed the "tax cuts for the rich", doofus. Reagan only signed the Bill passed by Democrats in both Houses.

Cuba was one of the richest countries in Latin America in 1959. Today they are one of the poorest. That I suppose is the Democrat view of "success."

You'll have to excuse Campbell. In his working life he worked up at Oak Ridge where part of the Manhattan project took place. He obviously took too many roentgens to the noggin and it's affected his ability to think clearly.

Cuba is a success to Democrats because they love equality over Liberty. And the fact all Cubans equally live in slums means it's a great place. Same with their medical system. The fact everyone has difficulty obtaining an aspirin equally means it's a great healthcare system.
