He loves it so much, that when he learned of Major League Baseball’s decision to phase out 42 of their 160 minor league teams, he called for the government to pressure the MLB to keep the teams, protecting the jobs of minor league players while raising their annual salaries.

He probably had a big donor that asked him to do that. I learned years ago it really didn't cost much to get a politician to ask you what they could do for you. Honest ones get their asses ran out by any means possible by those who are corrupt or who have sold themselves to ...

How would this kill baseball? Kill baseball by keeping it the way it is?... Baseball was more profitable than last year.

You want to talk about things will kill baseball? Talk about the new rules MLB is putting into place like a relief pitcher MUST face at least 3 batters. No more of the ability to bring in a guy for a specific hitter or the ability to put a lefty against a lefty or righty against a righty.

They also changed the rules about position players and pitching... which will hurt players as well. These new rules will put some specialized players out of jobs, all for the prupose of shortening games a few minutes.

It's just a hit piece that is trying to lay out things that wouldn't happen, compared to reality that has been going on for several years. Some of the minor league teams they are trying to cut out has been around for over 50 years.

Major League does not want to foot the bill for developing their players. Let the minor leagues develop the talent, then you just swipe the cream of the crop
