That seems especially curious when (a) the two parties almost entirely cancel each other out, and (b) independents make up a significantly larger plurality than either party (38%). It’s very clear that Biden’s bounce isn’t coming among the unaffiliated:

• Economy: 38/58
• Pandemic: 49/50
• Ukraine crisis: 48/50
• World leadership: 40/56

From these numbers, it appears that Marist used some sort of calculation that discounted independents while boosting the impact of Democrats. Pollsters use modeling algorithms in every survey to attempt to properly form a predictive model based on the data, of course. However, this appears way off the mark — especially in a political environment as hostile to Biden and Democrats over the past several months. If we gauge Biden’s standing from the independents, there doesn’t appear to have been much bounce at all. If there’s a rally effect here, it might just reflect an NPR/PBS/Marist rally.

In these times, you might think I am against joe. You would be wrong! I, and most of us, want him to do well..........in fact, very, very well.

We can disagree with him, but if he over rides his input and comes to a different conclusion, we either support the President, we do NOT support the President, and in either case, Pooty is going to do what he decides, regardless of our President............so we should support Biden, because anything coming, is gonna be here anyway.

I think Biden is a joke! But I do support him with what is going on. How he handles this disaster, will be written about in history books, just as the Cuban Missile crisis was. For me, I choose the American side, and will never lambast you for putting Joe in office under these circumstances. Just remember, that by November, the Ukraine issue will be over.

I wish you well, and Joe too...............but I also know, we have screwed the pooch. GOOOOOOOOOOO Joe, do something good, but I sadly say, in the end, it will not be enough. We need a much better leader, and most everyone from either side of the aisle, fits that bill better than Joe does!
