Biden Using Strategic Petroleum Reserve to Ship Oil to Asia

It's all about the money.

Cut back on domestic oil production "for the environment", then buy it from Russia instead with most likely a kick back, and then sell our reserves to China for a profit and probably another kickback.

So he reverses all of trumps policies and fuel prices go up, then he ceases a lot of domestic production and were shot on fuel. Ok. And his answer is to buy it from Russia and sell our reserves to China? I can't even begin to think of how this is supposed to do any good.

Revert back to trumps proven working plan, and endorse domestic oil productions. Prices go down, we have more jobs for Americans, we cut down on our dependence from other countries, fuel become plentiful for America, and we keep our emergency reserves for when we have an emergency. There is no down side.

Canada is number one on our import of oil.

The US wasn't buying any oil from Russia until Trump sanctioned Venezuela.

Prices for oil are an international market the US doesn't control the prices or the production.

Trump knew we were importing lots of oil from other nations yet lied to make himself look good, something he has made a career of and you suckers ate it up like it tasted good.

Xiden is selling our emergency reserve to our enemy.

About 1.6 million barrels of crude from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve — a monthly record — was shipped out in October, according to data from market intelligence firm Kpler.

"Given the ongoing pace of the current SPR release — 12 million barrels in the last two months and the biggest weekly release so far last week at 3.1 million barrels — it's fair to assume more SPR barrels are going to leave U.S. shores in the weeks ahead," said Matt Smith, an oil analyst at Kpler.

Already a thread on this...

And he is doing so because he is required by law to do so, a law passed by a GOP controlled congress.

Of course Trump lied... Everyone in the oil business was laughing at the fat Orangutang.

Oil is fungible.

What does that mean?

Oil goes for the same price all over the world.

If exporting oil to Asia brings oil prices down, it brings them down for America too.

We were energy independent then.
We were the largest import of oil on the planet, for trump's entire 4 years. That market (the international market) fluctuates with international demands and price. Energy independent is a pretty relative term, without much meaning, as American production and processing buys and sells on the international market at international market prices.

About 1.6 million barrels of crude from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve — a monthly record — was shipped out in October, according to data from market intelligence firm Kpler. All three supertankers went to Asia.

As far as I can tell, the administration has not explained why, with Americans struggling to keep up with rising fuel prices, it’s shipping our SPR to Asia. During the virtual meeting between Biden and Xi Jinping, the two men allegedly discussed releasing oil from both countries’ petroleum reserves but made no mention of the sales to Asia that already took place.

WHY???

He's a lifelong politician who knows nothing of how regular Americans live. All he knows, is the political game and deception to the point that he probably thinks it's just normal. He should have been eliminated by term limits decades ago. I doubt he realizes the danger the U.S. is in as a country and that he's been lulled over time in believeing that everything will be OK as it's always been. US politicians never miss a paycheck.
