The war in Iraq was NOT illegal nor was it a debacle. Saddam was removed after he failed to comply with multiple UN resolutions passed under Chapter VII rules of the United Nations which ALLOW the use of military force to bring about enforcement. After Saddam's removal in 2003, the United Nations annually voted approval of the occupation every year after that.

The war while difficult had costs that were far lower than World War I, World War II, Korea, or Vietnam. Amazing considering Iraq is now a country of 40 million people. Casualties both military and civilian were far less than these other wars of similar size or greater.

The United States accomplished its objectives in Iraq:

01. removed a regime from a Iraq that was a threat to its neighbors, especially neighbors in the Persian Gulf where the world receives much of its energy supply from.

02. Rebuilt the government and economy enough so that as of today, Iraq has a better standard of living than a country like Morocco.

03. Iraq now has democratic elections and peaceful transitions of power.

04. Iraq is now acting a bridge of cooperation and peace between the adversaries Saudi Arabia and Iran. In the long run this could make the entire region more stable and peaceful.

02. He actually debated and thought about recognizing Russia's illegal invasion and annexation of Crimea in 2014.

03. He met with Putin for 3 hours alone, without any aids except a translator, at their meeting in Helsinki Finland. You don't do that when you have nothing to hide and are not guilty of some type of collusion.

04. Former CIA director, John Brennan, said that Trumps behavior in Helsinki Finland with Putin amounted to TREASON!

05. Trump, in front of the whole world, sided with Putin and Russian intelligence services over U.S. intelligence services on whether the Russians interfered in the 2016 Presidential Election.

06. Trump has given North Korea everything it wants in terms of meetings and diplomacy. Trump has received nothing in return from North Korea. Trump has made KIM JUNG UN even stronger in North Korea than he was before.

07. TRUMP lied about his business dealings and or discussions with Russia prior to the 2016 election.

08. TRUMP attempted to obstruct investigations into his dealings with Russia before and after the campaign through the firing of FBI director James Comey.

10. It has been found through extensive investigation, that the Russians mounted a heavy campaign to interfere in the United States 2016 elections in order to get Donald Trump elected. Ask yourself why Russia wanted Trump so badly to be the next U.S. President? It should concern and scare everyone. Its part of the reason why Trump needs to be removed from the White House as soon possible.

1) He did that because he did not believe other countries were paying their fair share.

2) Annexation happened under BHO. He took over a tough situation. He did arm the Ukrainians and did kill 200 Russian Mercs in Syria and did impose sanctions on Russia.

3) He did it to show that he has the power and authority to represent the US. He understands negotiation. As Collin Powell, whom I respect a lot, stated. Sometimes you have to eat a lot of ugly when dealing with bad people. Putin is a former KGB assassin. You have to tread lightly but firmly.

4) Brennan is a cook and a partisan hack. And has been laughed at by contemporaries. Google it.

5) He stated that Russians didn't help him win. A lot of it was political posturing but I agree he should have handled it better. You got one.

6) He has kept Kim Jung Un the same. Not sure how he is "stronger" or "weaker" but at least he is trying to do something and S. Korea supports this.

02. True, but Barack Obama condemned the annexation as illegal. In contrast, Trump has considered recognizing Crimea as part of Russia. Trump did NOT order the attack on Russian mercenaries in Syria. The 300 Russian mercenaries were killed because they attack a Kurdish base that had U.S. advisors. The U.S. advisors called in air support to defend the Kurdish base. It was only after the attack was over that U.S advisors and Kurdish forces discovered that the attackers had actually been Russian mercenaries. TRUMP NEVER ordered anything. He learned about the whole think like you, through the media or an intelligence report. It was likely the media since Trump rarely reads any of his intelligence reports.

03. No excuse. U.S. Presidents don't show power and authority by meeting in private with an enemy adversary without any cabinet members. That does not show power or authority. It only shows weakness and subservience to a foreign power.

04. Whatever criticism you can muster against John Brennan, it pales in comparison to what can be done against Trump. I'd trust former CIA director John Brennan any day over Trump and his sycophants.

05. He is on the record in asking the Russians to help him though. The Russians did interfere in the election in order to try to help Trump win it.

06. North Korean leaders for decades have asked for a face to face meeting with a U.S. President. Why? It bolsters the North Korean leader in the eyes of their people, and gives them a stage on the world scene with the most powerful country. It helps bolster the image of the North Korean leader and home and abroad. So Trump gave them this HUGE diplomatic gift and got nothing in return. In the meantime, North Korean military and WMD programs continue in development.

08. I'd say its cut and dry. When was the last time a President fired a sitting FBI director that was investigating the President from criminal conduct?

09. Hillary Clinton is not running for President. Donald Trump is and asked the Russians to get him information. They broke into the DNC for him. Just like in 1972. Except this time, its not simply another political party, its a foreign enemy of the United States. Its worse than Watergate.
