Bill banning small, gas-powered engines and generators heads to Governor's desk

Do you have a crystal ball Mr. Nostradamus?
Nope, just a hunch.

Bacon may disappear in California as pig rules take effect

. . . now, I challenge anyone that doesn't live in California, go to their local Arby's, you know the place, "they have the meats?" And TRY to order a ham sandwich.

he auto industry did not have the government working on its behalf by killing all the horses and mules

In those days the public made a choice

Actually it did. On behalf of the oil industry.

Which is ironic considering the fact all of the major auto makers are going all electric within the next 20 years, and they are already well under way.

But hey, if you really feel that bad about it. Write your favorite oil company a check at the end of the week, and send it with a card expressing your endearing love forever.

FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A bill is now on Governor Gavin Newsom’s desk that could disproportionately impact families in the Central Valley and nearby foothill and mountain communities.

Assembly Bill 1346 would end the production of gas-powered small, off-road engines--used in lawn and garden equipment and generators-- by January 1, 2024.

It would replace the gas-powered engines with zero emission battery technology.

"It doesn’t compare to what you’d get with a gas-powered unit,” says Robert Vasquez, with Jensen and Pilegard in Clovis.

Vasquez says the shop doesn’t just sell gas-powered equipment—it also services it.

"That’s really gonna affect our business if we lose generator sales due to emissions," Vasquez says.

Authors of the bill say small off-road engines produced more emissions than cars in 2020.

There is nothing "progressive" about "Progressives".
Great! We need to get off fossil fuels.

It's unclear if the bill would prohibit the use of said equipment or the importation of said equipment or just prohibit it's manufacture in California.

Let them put panels on their property and use electric equipment. It is the future, keep in mind that the auto industry put blacksmiths out of business.
not sure where you live but blacksmiths still are in business

not everyone has the money or space for giant solar panels made in china on their property

so actually like having a yard too

small engines are destroying the ozone

They can start moving their funky rumps via electric vehicles.
