I am 51...like pretty much everyone my age (and older) we worked most of our careers with health insurance mostly off of our minds. Never really gave it much thought. Premiums ranged from $0 to maybe $200 a month...vision and eye..ALWAYS a part of the plan. Prescriptions were free for many, or at least heavily subsidized.
A good deal.
You work...you contribute to the economy...this was just a part of your reward.

In the 90's...thanks to lawyers/corporate greed/unions collapsing..premiums began to rise, as did deductibles. But still they remained at least affordable.
Enter Obama and the Democrat loons who believed they could add 25,000,000 people into the system and it would actually lower cost. Can you say INSANE????
Remember when they mocked Republicans for saying the system would collapse????

And here we are.
Premiums doubled/tripled compared to 10 years ago.
Deductibles as much as 15 times as high...and outrageous out of pocket costs.
