Actually it's sop, it used to be $500. They give short term money for essentials, you have to live in FEMA temp cities till the check clears. And then you can apply for more money based on need and loss and issued a special government loan rate, based on quoted net loss. People with Hurricane insurance don't get to get that money and FEMA money but the difference between. So them having insurance doesn't work, I think. And it sucks waiting 10 days for the first check, but it's standard sop, even when the Republicans were in office. Which is why they shouldn't be using this issue and stick to the other good issues instead.

How have I, or the vast majority of whites, descended from illegal immigrants? My grandparents all came through Ellis Island, following the legal process. That’s because they had RESPECT for their new country’s laws, and wanted to be good citizens.

They did NOT sneak across the border, and then lie about asylum to the border agents, and then demand free hotel rooms and “culturally appropriate” meals.

There is NO comparison to the caliber and conduct of the legal immigrants of 100 years ago to the migrants of today.
