Looking up today at a tree in the front yard - there were two or three birds - little birds lighting upon a branch and then flying high up into the air twirling and dancing about!
They did not have a care in the world! Their flight became a dance as they spun in the air and passed each other - how carefree their were! Yes! Free of all care! Free of all worry! Free of anything that would encumber their happy little hearts....oh people! That is exactly how G-d wants us to be! Those little birds didn't even notice someone watching them. If they had they would not have changed a thing - it would have been a non-issue because those little birds were being themselves - being the little birds they were created to be!
This morning, my husband told me that our two daughters are gathering clothing for the arrival of our newest member of the family. Our little granddaughter will be born soon and she will be needing these things and truly the thought did come - why worry about clothing? About food? About all these things when your heavenly father who loves you will provide them for you? Why do we labor so much for these things when our heavenly father always has the best plan? Why worry? Why hurry? What is the point of piling up clothes like clay when he already knows our need?
What an opportunity for our daughters to pour out love by giving away that which they no longer need! Children grow so fast! Why worry about these things when we can pray and ask our heavenly father and he will provide what is needed at the very moment it is needed? If our earthly fathers know how to give good gifts how much more so does our Heavenly father know how to give them?
Every good gift comes from heaven above. God gives the idea and we follow through and become part of his plan. It is in the little things we see his love for us and he gives all an opportunity to become part of his love plan by giving of ourselves.. without even knowing we are doing it... like riding a bicycle - once we learn how to do it - love is like forgetting the mechanics of making it work and just enjoying the wind, the sunshine, the ride! You hardly feel your feet pushing the pedals because the ride is too much fun!
Who can take credit for providing, for sharing - for pouring out love? Doesn't everything begin and end with G-d?
It is like good neighbors who comes together to make a soup.. one brings tomatoes from their garden, one brings their beans, one brings the corn, one brings some ochra, one brings a basket of potatoes, one brings the pot to cook it in, another provides the salt, the pepper, some garlic and spices and it all cooks togethers to make one delicious soup! Can the one who brought the corn say - I provided this soup? Can the one who brought the potatoes say I provided this soup? No... it is the who gave the idea to bring the neighbors together..........the one who planned the party, the one who was present at the table heard the prayer for blessing and for giving thanks.....our heavenly father.. that is who... yes, he would even multiply it if it were not enough because he cares for us. Do we believe it? What did the Lord say to us about these things?
Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life. What you shall eat or what you shall drink, nor yet for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body more than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air, for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are you not better than they?
Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they toil not, neither do they spin. And yet I say unto you Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Wherefore, If G-d so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Therefore, take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherwithal shall we be clothed? ( For after all these things, do the Gentiles seek ) For your heavenly Father knows that you have need of these things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of G-d, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take care of the things of itself, sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

This is from Matthew 6:25 - 34 - and the rest of the story is from the Holy Ghost! Fresh manna from heaven. Every day, he gives us fresh bread! What a glorious G-d we serve.. Everything is from Him. EVERYTHING. What can we do apart from him? nothing....
