The government official is above the law. The law is for the common citizen, whether he pays taxes or not. The rule by men's decree is for the government official. Who can simply classify crimes, then punish anyone who exposes them.

There's a rumor on the Left claiming the "government official" who presided over Manning's "trial" was promised a promotion while proceedings were going on.

It's more certain the government has little intention of allowing any impartial inspection of those proceedings to occur:
