Unfortunately for the Kamala campaign, the perfect storm has occurred: A massive strike knocking out ~50% of imported goods a lack of presence to a major disaster across multiple states, and illegals now looting Americans by taking advantage of the disaster. The tears are streaming down my face, and I bet the campaign will overexaggerate their presence in the upcoming days.Yeah, that sounds right.
Will they? Won't the lack of goods in warehouses place a high demand on trucking and a low supply on goods? Thus, putting a shortage of goods for trucking to move?
Port workers strike starts across the East and Gulf Coasts
Updated 1:29 AM EDT, Tue October 1, 2024
Nearly 50,000 members of the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) are on strike Tuesday against the nation’s East and Gulf Coast ports, according to the union, choking off the flow of many of the nation’s imports and exports in what could become America’s most disruptive work stoppage in decades.
The strike, which was also confirmed by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey as well as the Port of Virginia, began at midnight. There appears to be a wide gap between the union’s demands and the offer of the United States Maritime Alliance, which uses the acronym USMX. The maritime alliance represents the major shipping lines, all of which are foreign owned; as well as terminal operators and port authorities.

That's what Mexico will handle. What if the west coast unions do a "sympathy slowdown" for the East Coast brethren?
The shippers built huge ports in Mexico and Canada. Almost nothing comes to US ports except Long Beach. The Chinese own that one so they use their own people. What if the west coast unions do a "sympathy slowdown" for the East Coast brethren?
All the cheap Chineeee shit at Walmart will rise ...I was checking to see what things I use on a daily basis, and most of them are produced in the US. Paper towels, toilet paper, dog and cat food, cheese, milk, eggs...
The port strike will probably mean truckers will get in a lot of overtime.
Yes, when you have a contract that says that you will not automate....but you do it anyway that's a contract violation. It's a major and not a minor element of the contract.Illegal Automation?

We will use Mexican ports and shovel the goods by rail. Which doesn't hurt the Railroad's feelings or Mexican feelings in the slightest.
