Breaking: North Charleston cop about to go free!!!

From the article:

"You need to go back to the incident scene and you need to see where the original stop was and you need to see where the final events took place," Slager's attorney, Andy Savage, said.

Savage suggested he may not have been completely unarmed the entire time. "Maybe he was found without any weapon on him at the time that he died," Savage said.

Slager's defense team believes his Taser was fired six times and that both the officer and Scott were each hit twice, suggesting there was more of a struggle than prosecutors have revealed.

So basically nothing. The paid lawyer THINKS this and BELIEVES that but cant prove anything. This is just an attempt to throw something against the wall until it sticks.

EXCEPT....tasers have a downloadable chip that can be checked to see how many times it's been fired since the last downlaod. Our local dept downloads all tasers at the end of shift to ensure no undocumented use and to show that if anyone was tazed that no extra officers jumped in.

He'll have that info at court.

Ooops.

If that info exists but right now all he has is beliefs and innuendo

It does exist. NCPD likely has it because his Taser would've been downloaded. Lawyer will have it before trial.

This case....like the Davis gay marriage case....hinges on SCOTUS rulings.

Gay marriage is legal in Morehead KY and all of the USA.
Shooting a fleeing felon who just used a weapon on a cop is legal in SC and all of the USA.

Like it or not....SCOTUS ruled both legal.

But . . . it is not an immunity blanket to shield officers from murder.

Slager murdered Scott.

The video says it all. Scott was running away before Slager drew and fired . . . eight times. He is going to prison. Graham vs. Connor is not an absolute blanket of immunity to kill an unarmed man running away with his back to the officer.

Dropping the tazer net to the lifeless body is clearly a suspcious movement by the officer, as if he has something to hide. He is making it appear that Scott was running with the Tazer. He knew Scott did not have the Tazer.

I understand bad cops convicted of bad crimes in South Carolina go into the general population at prison.

Untrue.
Actually it's in the video.

Huh? If the SCOTUS says it's legal....it's LEGAL. Immunity isn't needed for something that isn't illegal.

Scott used a weapon on Scott. And fled. SCOTUS says under that circumstance....the cop can use deadly force to prevent his escape. It's law.

Again, So? I saw a story about a water skiing squirrel on the news. The fact that they showed it doesnt change my mind that its news. Now I know whatever the news shows you you believe is news. Other people tend to think for themselves.

He's paid to pretend they are innocent and now he's pretending they are innocent. You're floored, I'm not

Slager doesn't even claim that Scott used the taser against him. Or that it was possible to do so.

There were no barbs in Slager. There were barbs in Scott. Slager doesn't claim in any report that the taser was used against him. Slager's report cites Slager as the only one to use the taser.

The defense attorney claims are contradicted by Slager's report and all incident reports.

His shooting an unarmed man in the back as he flees is not going to be covered by any SCOTUS ruling. This was not in defense. The prosecution is going to argue, rightfully, that Slager shot Scott because he got his ass beat. Slager was in no danger, such as Michael Brown charging Wilson. None. Slager acted as judge and executioner, and that will convict him.

The part where he drops the taser next to the guy he just shot in the back.

Cameras dont matter why would their actual reports?

Basically they can say whatever and use whatever excuse for their actions and hope the tabloid bunch gets distracted by "drugs in the system" leaks from one side

Most coppers vote Republican. They are hardly liberal.

Yep. As trained...he gathered all loose equipment.

You saw a taser being planted (then picked back up).

I saw confusion. He thought Scott still had the taser. He was shocked to arrive at the body and see he didnt. As trained...he collected loose gear...and dropped the taser next to him...because that's who last had the taser...then picked it up and secured it as he's trained.

WE'LL NEVER agree on this. Court will hear it.

SCOTUS rulings make the shooting legal. Sorry. Sad but true.

Most cops do vote Republican.

The dumb ones vote liberal. Kinda a sick self destructive behavior.
