Now they tell you this is because they care about getting little Fluffy home if she gets lost... Yeah... Who's buying that one. So by June 10, all cat owners have to chip their cat or pay fines. A nice little addition to the coffers.

But make no mistake. This is just a trial run to work out the kinks in chipping and tracking. Once perfected; much like for Fluffy... Getting chipped will be mandatory for citizens as well. Bet on it...

Hard to say. The Brits recently posted this.

They are expecting trouble, this way they can find the people who ate Fluffy.

The Brits love to tax everything.
They even make people pay an annual license fee for their TVs.
So, you never really own your TV.

In December 2023 the Secretary of State announced that the Government would raise the licence fee by 6.7%, in line with inflation, taking effect from 1 April 2024. This brings the cost of a colour license fee to £169.50 per year and a black and white license fee to £57 per year.

Didn't they arleady have traffic cams with total coverage of every square inch?

I read people were ripping them down.

Yep.

And the OP title is kinda bait n switch, brah.

They definitely live in a 1984 police/surveillance state. Once they work out these chips; the noose will tighten further.

Both cats were chipped at 4 months. In case they get lost. More importantly, if they get stolen. Stealing pets is big business.
