They will go with the whole "qualified immunity" thing, that to me has been extended far beyond it's original intent.

you are going to have politicians/cops/leaders/etc steal/perjure/falsify/etc
this is what humans do
if it is chronic and a significant number do it, then you have a problem

but these onesies and twosies stuff is typical
these cops should be put in jail at least
I've seen a cop just verbally abusing people--not racial slurs-not cussing--but abusing his power verbally and he should've been fired at least
