Buttigieg said on Sunday that blaming the design of school doorways for gun violence in the U.S. is the “definition of insanity.”

During an appearance on ABC’s “This Week,” moderator George Stephanopoulos asked Buttigieg what he would be doing about the problem if he were still the mayor of South Bend, Ind.

“Well, the worst part of the job of being mayor is talking to families of people who have lost their loved ones and knowing that nothing you can do will bring those loved ones back,” Buttigieg told Stephanopoulos.

Buttigieg also said there is “a horrific scourge of gun violence in this country,” adding that “every mayor is doing around the country, you take the steps that you can to reduce community violence, to invest in partnerships, to make sure that you’ve taken the steps you can locally.”

Comment:
Having classroom doors that can be locked from the inside with a key is not "insanity".
Having a single point of entry for schools where IDs can be checked is not "insanity"
Having an incompetent far left crackpot token for Sec of Transportation is insanity.

Trog speakum truth!

What does that jackass know about anything?

As Transportation Secretary, he took months off as the head of a Cabinet Department and hasn't done a damn thing about the problems in our ports, particularly the West Coat ports with the bottlenecks.

The guy is the poster child for the worst and dumbest Cabinet in modern history if not of all time.

People expect sane rational responses from mentally ill sexual deviants?

Hardening schools to protect children from amoral animals who are abusing their 2A rights to destroy the lives of strangers is the diametric OPPOSITE of "insanity".
Mayor Buttplug, like all other Dems who have sold their souls to reach the halls of power, is a willing accomplice to the chaos, bloodshed, and death that is set in motion by their policies. They aren't idiots, their actions in years past have brought us to where we are today.

Guns have been a constant, but only in the last few decades have we had to deal with vicious, amoral killers, slaughtering large numbers of strangers in public. The Left sees this and allows it to continue, knowing that they can achieve their goals of disarming and subjugating their opposition, ONLY by spilling so much innocent blood that an uneducated public finally screams for "safety", at any cost.

We are way past the time for forming local militias and making them official by state statute. If multiple states announced that policy and began taking in screened, vetted volunteers to be trained by State Guard units, it would send a final, unmistakable message to DC that infringing 2A is a red line that will NOT be crossed with impunity.

So many of these shooters are products of the schools they're shooting up. Anybody who doesn't notice this pattern and immediately investigates what kind of crap admins, teachers, and school nurses and counselors have been feeding these kids along with the dope they hand out to them is part of the problem; most of the so-called 'mental health professionals' are sicko deviants and loons themselves. Quacks, the lot of them.

That's NOT what he said. He was just pointing out the right wing's unending and constant effort to deflect from the real problem (proliferation of guns) and to make suggestions that will placate their base (mental health, school safety).

I mean, teachers already have issues with just teaching children. Now you want them to be armed security guards as well? LOL. Not feasible. :auiqs.jpg:

How much you wanna bet that when Buttplug's adopted boys are old enough to go to school, that they will go to some exclusive private school with much better security than what Buttplug wants the public schools for the children of “little people” to have?

I wonder if it will be a school that practices the sort of sexual grooming that is taking place in public schools these days. No doubt, Buttplug fully supports this being done to other people's children, but will he approve of it being done to his own?

Something tells me that around that time, we're going to be seeing some serious Democrap-level hypocrisy in full view.

When I was young, guns were much more plentiful, and much less stigmatized than they now are, and schools were much less secure, and we did not have the kind of school shooting that we are seeing so commonly these days. One high school in my home town even had a rifle range on campus. I went to a different high school, but being in JROTC, we went to that range frequently to practice marksmanship and safe gun handling.

The real problem is not guns, and it is not lax school security. If either of these was the problem, then school shootings would have been more common, and more deadly, when I was a child, than they are now.

Something else is going on. Something much deeper. Something that is creating people now, who are driven to commit these sort of acts. It seems apparent to me that the likely underlying cause is the general degeneration of society, caused by left wrong wing policies, the decay of the nuclear family as the basic unit of society, the promotion of drug use, the promotion of depraved sexual perversions, certainly the promotion of abortion and the obviously-connected disregard for the value of all human life, and so on.

Of course, as it completely to be expected, your side latches on to every opportunity to exploit tragedies as this, to attack the people's right to keep and bear arms. Your side has wanted to do away with this right for a long time, since long before we ever saw any significant school shootings like this. But not only does this not address the cause, but there is no rational basis on which to assume that if you got every law passed that you wanted to, that it would do a damn thing to mitigate what is going on. All that it would do is make law-abiding citizens easier prey for criminals. But your side has lately not been shy about showing itself to be on the side of criminals, and against the side of human beings.

Increasing school security doesn't address the underlying cause, either; but at least it can somewhat mitigate the symptoms.

As long as we continue to allow you left wrong-wing filth to successfully attack and destroy the moral foundations of our society, we are only going to continue to see the continued deterioration of society, and along with it, increasing tragic results, such as these school shootings.
