Can Liberals Criticise Obama?

:lol::lol::lol:

You 'blame' the GOP? Obama is President - it is his fucking job to find compromise. And he is crap at it. 'Winning' does not mean you get it all your own way... it means you are supposed to fucking lead. LEAD. Not divide. You - and any other moron who voted for Obama - really need to learn that lesson.

no its not obbama's fucking job... its the congresses job to compromise ... where ever you get that from is beyond me ... no sweetie pooh it means he runs on what the people elected him to run on ... seems you forgot what he ran on ... it wasn't on tax cuts only ...it was clearly on tax cuts and revenues ... which the republicans refuse to compromise on... seems you forgot that too... when you have 75% of the Voters saying tax cuts and revenues my question to you is, why doesn't the republicans grasp that thought ??? you see these republicans only see it their way ... we can see mthe past 8 years of republicans running it their way hasn't worked ... they have said under no scircumstance will the votet for revenues ... the you have the gual to come here and say Obama won't compromise really ??? finally why hasn't the republicans said to the people what subsidy will they cut from the budget they have offered one .... do you ever look up anything before you insert foot into mouth
Well, according to William Jethro Clinton, yes it is the presidents job to find compromise.....In fact, he urged Obama to find compromise during the campaign.

So, I guess we can now expect you to claim that William Jethro is full o' shit, eh?
you got a source for your stupidity here??? it has and has always been the congresses job to compromise... the presidents my get involved with the issue as he sees it, but to say its his job, hell no ... he has no say in the matter... it's all up to the congress ...

show us where he urged him to compromise...

He is a dictator wannabe,
How many times did Bush43 declare "executive privilage" as the reason he didn't have to comply with congressional demands for the release of WH documents and emails? Did you call him a "dictator wannabe"?

and the libs are being used. All he has to do is "stroke them" (with unfullfilled promises),
Unfortunately, this is a true statement.

and they will lie, cheat and steal to take away citizens' rights.
You're going to have to cite specific examples for this one.

But nothing has stripped Americans of their "citizens' rights" more, than the Patriot and Military Commissions Acts, which was Bush-driven legislation. And I don't recall anyone on the right protesting those at the time they were enacted.

You people need to walk your talk.

I contacted "my" representatives over the patriot act. I told them they should vote against it, and if they could not vote against it, to put a time limit on it, so it would have to be renewed by congress. There were many other things that I disagreed with Bush, and contacted "my" representatives. Kind of blows a hole in that theory, doesn't it?

Obama has
attacked people for doing their jobs: the police acted stupidly, sued Arizona for immigration laws that reflect the unenforced laws of the federal gov't/immigration officials being told not to do their jobs
ignored law breakers: secret service with prostitutes/voter intimidation/voter fraud/fast and furious/Bengazi
refused to uphold his oath (to enforce the laws): DOMA/immigration/selective loans to "green business" (that turns out to be money laundering)
instigated war acts without the congress (against the Constitution)
ignored the Bill of Rights: murder list to be used against American citizens, forcing people to pay for programs that are against their religion, encouraging laws to allow the police to search homes without a warrant (falsified by claiming gun safety), trying to strengthen "hate speech" (limiting the freedom of speech)
is truly evil: supports murdering the elderly when convenient (maybe they should just take a "pill"), voted to allow babies to die if they survived an abortion (withold an comfort, food, warmth, care from live infants), dedicated gov't funds to be used for human experimentation (embryos can be used for experimentation, but must be terminated when experiment is done)

Continue to defend Obama, it is "your" right. Just don't expect the rest of us to use the same rose colored glasses. We see what he is doing to the country. We see his supporters ignoring the corruption and decay. We can see were his "tired", "old" ideas of socialism/facism lead. He spoke out against the colonialism of African nations, yet he is modeling his gov't ideal after the failed policies of European nations. Why would anyone that lives in this country want to ignore the model that gave us the greatest standard of living in the world, for one that has a lower standard of living and offers little opportunity to grow wealth?

He's a bit right wing for my taste. All the religious crap at the inauguration was annoying too.

His administration had to do that after the vote against having "GOD" in his platform at the Democrat convention. He had to deceive his "Christian" followers so they will continue to support him.

If you are a liberal or Democrat, I' like to hear from you about what you do not like, or have not liked, about the Obama administration.

I'll go first -

1) Austerity. In Obama's first day in power five years ago, I thought he should have anounced austerity cuts, and big ones. He had the public support to actually go out and say "We're damn near broke" and slash a billion or so off spending. I didn't mind the Stim Pack per se, but I think spending cuts needed to go along side it.

2) Climate Change. Obama has been too passive on this. I'd like to have seen clearer statements of intent, backed by science ordinary people could understand, so that Americans could understand more of the issue.

3) Admitting Error. Maybe it's unreasonable, but with some of the scandals like 'Fast & Furious' I'd always like to see politicians admit that mistakes were made. I think people would respect it more than excuses.

4) Closing the revolving door between Goldman Sachs and the White House. Stop hiring people from lobbies, and put distance between lobbies and positions of responsibility.

5) Cut military spending. I'd like Obama to stand up to the military, and present a long term strategy of reducing spending massively, and converting the military into a force that can deal with guerillas and al Queda, and rely less on cold war thinking.

President Obama gets criticism from both parties and a fair portion of the populace. History will show which views are right, but he's getting critique from liberals and conservatives.

Considering that our media leans left, it's understandable that they would attempt to shield their left leaning President.

Still, the Republicans seem to get in often enough to counterbalance, and they hang onto Congress most of the time.

Do the stats take into account the millions of illegal immigrants who burden citizens for their healthcare costs?

Germany and France have large numbers of illegal migrants, certainly.

I don't really see where you are going with this.

Germany is actually losing population. And illegal immigration is a federal crime there, if i'm not wrong.

France is one of the few european countries whose law is historically based on the jus soli. So i don't think they are a proper representation of Europe. Anyway, France has some centre-right leaders who openly talk about the negative cultural and economic effects of mass immigration, and their new conservative leader denounced anti-french sentiment in some cities:
Copé: anti-white racism exists in France - The Local

I think, in Europe, the debate about illegal immigration is over. Illegal is illegal. The European Parliament passed a directive ending mass amnesties. But there is a growing debate about unskilled poor (legal) immigration, Welfare, and the jobs that nationals allegedly don't want.

Some figures that, in my opinion, should kill comparisions between USA and Europe:

- United States (315 million inhabitants) net annual population growth: +3 million
- European Union (504 million inhabitants) net annual population growth: +1 million

Ironically, according to Eurostat, around 70% of net migration arrived in the European Union in 2001-2009 went to just two countries: Spain and Italy. Both today in a deep recession and painful austerity cure.

- USA net population growth since 1990: +66 million. That's the entire population of France, in two decades.

- Projected population growth 2010-2050:
(1) India 467 million projected increase
(2) Nigeria 231 million
(3) Pakistan 101 million
(4) Tanzania 93 million
(5) United States 93 million
(6) DR Congo 83 million
(7) Ethiopia 62 million
(8) Philippines 62 million
(9) Uganda 61 million
(10) Kenya 56 million

The U.S. is the only wealthy country on the top10 and the top25:
Howard Steven Friedman: 10 Countries With the Largest Projected Population Growth: American Exceptionalism

We could discuss the link between mass immigration, poverty, inequality... and political agendas, the media, and unscrupulous employers. But is not the right thread.

Inequality is now a code-word for bigger government. Just a question: why aren't migrants massively moving to lower-Gini Latin American countries?

Euroconservative -

I don't have time to go into this now - but boats arrive in France and Spain every day. Every day. Tens of thousands of people arrive every year....they just flood into Italy...anywhere in Europe they can get to.

The US gets more, without question, but it is a big issue here.
