Strange apparent contradictions etc.
I’ll start.
The universe has been calculated to be approximately 13.7 to 13.8 BILLION years old.
However, it is also true that we can presently observe things in the universe that are about 45 billion light years distant.
Yet these two statements are apparently not mutually exclusive or contradictory.
The “answer” seems to be that it is because “space” itself has been expanding at such a fantastic rate of speed.
In my next life (if we do live more than one life here on Earth), I wanna be one of those theoretical physicists who has the capacity to really comprehend these things.
