As is projected for the country's economy, the Panama Canal will grow in the coming years , but not at the levels of before.

This Tuesday, during the first debate on the Canal's budget for the 2024-2025 period, it was revealed that the level of conflict in the world has made the figures conservative.

The administrator stressed that the growth rate of international trade that supports traffic through the Canal is more modest now due not only to the ongoing conflict, but also to a decrease in the transit of ships carrying liquefied natural gas.

These ships were headed from the United States to Asia and, now, as a result of the conflict in Ukraine, they have had to go from the United States to Europe in order to fulfill the North American commitment to maintain the energy supply in the old continent.

Interesting to see how interconnected everything is in the world. A war in Ukraine impacting the number of ships going through a canal on the other side of the world.

We have a weak president... and Kamala will be worse....

Fuck off.

This thread is about Panama and the canal, not American politics.

I get that you have never left the country, but there is a whole big world out there besides just the US
