It may pass but the reality is it will simply cause unemployment for a large percentage of these workers. Businesses don't operate to create a better life for their employees as a first responsibility. I doubt the problem is as severe as this article claims but even if it is, the reality is they'll cut the workers loose rather than cut their profit margins, especially since their corporate taxes will be increasing as well.
