Counting gross corporate receipts as the same as gross domestic product, ten years ago, we reached the point at which half of the world's largest economies were corporations. Another way of saying that is that 50 corporations were larger than all but the largest 50 nations. Corporations have grown since then.

With so many corporations larger than nations, they have enough cash flow to bribe as many government officials as they need to to get what they want.

That means that the political power of corporations is way more than at any time in recorded history.
