China Sends Aircraft Carrier Into Taiwan Strait

. Not if the shift inward is revitalized, and the American markets are supported from within again. We became the strongest nation in the world from within, and the world marvelled at our success and progress, and when we traded with the world it was once a mutually respected thing. We have been bamboozled into thinking that this nation can't make itself great again.

Why do you think that the United States is not a great nation?

No 'shift inward' will supply new markets for American farmers- a Trade war with China would wipe out a large portion of the diminishing American farmers.

The United States can negotiate better trade with China- but slapping an indiscriminate tariff on Chinese imports would just hurt Americans- from farmers, to manufacturing workers, to American consumers.
. Then somebody's lying then. What is our Trade deficit again ?

Someone's lying about what?

Why do you think it is a lie to say that the United States is a great nation?

What is our Trade deficit again ?

You don't know? Google can do your work- I don't have to.

Says the far left drone Troll that can not post facts to back up their religious dogma!

So you are against a fair trade deal?

NORINCO is the Northern Army of China. PolyTech is the Southern Army of China. They control ALL manufacturing within their sphere's of influence and get a cut of all manufacturing profits. That's how they fund their respective military units. Funny, that you a supposed "expert" on China, didn't know that. It is common knowledge within the business world.

And their total employment is a mere blip in Chinese manufacturing- focusing primarily on defense items.

I deal with companies from Northern to Southern China and have never dealt with either company.
And have no need to.

And I don't claim to be an expert on China- I just am more knowledgeable about the reality of the economy than you are.

Since I go to China, do business in China- and understand economics.

That's because they are MANAGERS you halfwit! All they do is keep track of what is happening, and who owes them what. The Chinese State OWNS all the property. You can only buy the right to use it, which they can rescind at any time they wish. For someone who claims to spend so much time in China you know remarkably little.

Sigh.

Business's get long term leases- which they in turn lease out to other business's- and down the line.

The government legally can't rescind at any time, but being the Chinese government, they can really do most of whatever they want.

Meanwhile- most of the factories- the ones who are actually doing most of the business with the West are privately owned. Leasing land just like most companies in the United States do.

Capitalism is thriving in China.

Don't believe me? Ask Jack Ma.

Of course it is. The Chinese government likes making money. It has allowed them to build their bluewater navy, steal technology from the west at an unheard of rate, and develop their aerospace industry. What's not to like. However, every person knows that if they piss off the ruling elite, this will happen to them...

China executing someone for corruption- how horrible.

China in its own way is as tyrannical as Russia and Putin. But the free market thrives in China.

Yet you far left drone trolls have yet to provide any proof of your comments!

See how the far left does not care about anything other than pushing their religious agenda!

Communist China has always been barbaric, funny how the far left trolls will ignore it!

You are right- I can't 'prove' that the United States can negotiate a better deal- I suggest it as a more reasonable and prudent course for our President who brags he is such a great negotiator.

As far as 30% tariff hurting Americans- every American who shops at Walmart would see probably 60% of what they buy there go up 30%.

It wouldn't hurt people who buy BMW's- it would hurt people who go to Walmart to buy cheap diapers.

I can't 'prove' that China would retaliate with tariff's on American goods, but you can't prove that China wouldn't. Are you willing to risk American farms, and American manufacturing jobs, for a policy that wouldn't guarantee bringing a single job to the United States?

And the far left drone religious narrative continues!

See how the far left did not even care about the trade deal with China until Trump came along, now they wish Trump and America failure!

And the far left does not understand that BMW's have come done in price, even those on welfare can afford it, just like they can afford the new Cadillac SUV that cots close to 60,000.

Silly far left drones do not know what they talk about, just run debunk narratives!

Another far left drone debunked religious narrative being run!

Human rights groups and foreign governments have criticized China's use of the death penalty for a variety of reasons, including its application for non-violent offenses.

Remember now the far left claims they are against such things, yet look the other way when comes to countries like China, Iran, etc.

Just like how Hilary took money from countries that have little rights for women, yet the far left looked the other way!

How did I know you wouldn't read the article.:laugh::laugh::laugh: Turns out the reason for his execution was a little different than the "official" reason..... How unsurprising...

"Yet sceptics believe the billionaire's execution is merely the latest chapter in a political purge of Mr Xi's rivals. Liu had connections to Zhou Yongkang, the disgraced former security chief who was recently expelled from the Communist Party and is awaiting sentencing for corruption.

Andrew Wedeman, a political scientist who studies corruption in China, said Xi Jinping faced a tough juggling act to convince Chinese citizens he was successfully slaying powerful and corrupt "tigers" such as Liu and Mr Zhou without simply exposing a Party that was rotten to the core.

"It is a tricky business because as you hang more pelts from the walls of Zhongnanhai [the leadership compound in Beijing] ... do people say, "Wow you are a great tiger hunter!"? Or do they go, "Oh my God! There are an awful lot of tigers out there in the hills!"?

"He is walking a tightrope," Prof Wedeman said of the Communist Party leader.

Mr Liu, who was executed alongside his brother and three alleged accomplices, denied the charges against him."

Good, that's their sphere of influence and Taiwan is part of China

The Orange Cheetolini is going to get a reality check

HONG KONG — China sent its sole aircraft carrier into the Taiwan Strait on Wednesday morning, Taiwan officials said, a defiant move that signals China’s growing naval strength and may foreshadow an early foreign policy challenge for President-elect Donald J. Trumpwhen he takes office in nine days.

The transit of the aircraft carrier, the Liaoning, which had been conducting exercises in the South China Sea, comes amid rising tensions between Taiwan and China, and after Mr. Trump broke decades of protocol by speaking on the phone with Taiwan’s president, Tsai Ing-wen, after his election victory. Ms. Tsai leads a political party that has traditionally supported Taiwan’s formal independence from China.
