Christmas Eve Traditions ?

Do you have any? Did you have any when you were growing up?

Ours was baking Norwegian cookies during the day and 11pm service at night.

We never got to open up any Christmas gifts on Christmas Eve like many of my friends did...

Really didn't have any as a kid. Now my wife and I open a bottle of champagne or 3 and soak in the hot tub

Chex party mix and midnight mass, along with a berry pie from berries picked in the summer..and a few bongs...

Listening to the Pope's message rebroadcast at midnight locally.

At the Vatican at midnight it is really 4PM here in the Rockies.

Board games and pizza night.

I watch Ernest Saves Christmas every Christmas Eve night. The Ernest film series was a big part of my childhood.

P.S. My most favorite part of that film is when Ernest opens up the glove compartment to get out his extra pair of sun glasses and we see in there a bumper sticker that says "Keep Christ In Christmas." on it.

Christmas Day - Me and my girls pile in two cars, drive to Milwaukee. Help out cleaning at a church that serves brunch for the homeless. 11AM to 4PM.
