I am all for it and other federal agencies as well. It way past time fora full cleansing of our government agencies of any type of wrongdoing.

Oh wow, Chuckie Cheese Todd admits the American people don't trust the FBI! Next thing you know he will admit that Al Sharpton is a race-baiting huckster.

It's a big deal that this was said by Chuck Todd on Meet the Press. Glad to see it. However, while the Church Committee uncovered a lot of bad shit, the only thing that came from it was more government in the form of the US Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. The SSCI was supposed to oversee all of the intelligence gathering entities like the CIA, FBI, and NSA. Yeah, surprisingly that didn't work. Here is their crack work overseeing, as it relates to the bogus Russian interference that was just fully and officially debunked by the Durham report.

From Wikipedia:

In 2017, the SSCI began investigating Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections, possible incriminating links between members of the Russian government and members of Donald Trump's presidential campaign team, and the security of election processes in the United States.[11] On April 21, 2020, the SSCI (chaired at the time by the Republican Richard Burr) released a much redacted report[12][13][14] with its final judgment that the intelligence community's assessment was "coherent and well-constructed"; the SSCI therefore supports the intelligence community's claim that Putin's "interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election" in favor of candidate Trump was unprecedented in its "manner and aggressiveness". Nevertheless, no direct evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia was found.

Further instilling confidence -

In 2018, the SSCI Director of Security James Wolfe was arrested and convicted of lying to the FBI on the leak of classified documents to a reporter with whom he was in an affair.[17]

On May 14, 2020, Senator Burr, who oversaw the probe on Russian interference in the 2016 election, stepped down as SSCI chair due to an ongoing investigation regarding insider trading by Senator Burr during the COVID-19 pandemic.[18] Senator McConnell announced on May 18, 2020 that Marco Rubio would replace Burr temporarily.[19]

Congress is a joke. There needs to be criminal investigations. More hearings and committees won't do anything.

All this crap will be whitewashed, nobody will be held accountable because...it was always the elite leaders in both parties pulling the strings.

The FBI and CIA are "black boxes" without whistleblowers to keep congress informed so that they can perform proper oversight.
When the FBI or CIA terrorizes whistleblowers so that no one speaks out for wrongdoing, that creates the new Gestapo.

He said faith in the fbi was deteriating "therefore" the committee was needed
I don't trust the motive here

Todd is a damn fool

Garbage is the only thing that ever comes out of his mouth

When you see commentators at their Prog worse when totally comfortable and insulated, never trust them when they change their chameleon colors to fit the new swamp-controlled narrative looking like they are moderates on agendas. They are nothing but a gaggle of Joes.
