There was that famous time in history, nowhere recorded, wherein people were expected to form their own opinions. The press corps was limited. Community relations were actually local. Now even getting in to the press conference, about the Clinton emails, is a media event. So there is a separate link, below.

It is still not clear if the Republicans will try to invite Secretary Powell to testify on this issue He in fact had enough good sense to delete everything. Generally, what the five-star does, tends to get supported, even possibly at RNC. Anyone recalls that it is never clear what makes good sense to Republicans, even at the start--it should be noted. Mostly recently, a letter got sent from the Senate GOP, to Iran. Diplomatic emails do not seem genuinely of interest, even at Senate GOP(?). Nixon kept everything intact, anyone remembers, including the typist. Lincoln did not set out a the start, to free the slaves. The idea was to quash a rebellion.
