Clintons stole $200k in furniture, china and artwork from White House

Just like they took the "W" keys off the keyboards, right?
Actually the Clinton staff did do that.

White House Vandalized In Transition, G.A.O. Finds

WASHINGTON, June 11— The General Accounting Office, an investigative arm of Congress, said today that ''damage, theft, vandalism and pranks did occur in the White House complex'' in the presidential transition from Bill Clinton to George W. Bush. The agency put the cost at $13,000 to $14,000, including $4,850 to replace computer keyboards, many with damaged or missing W keys.. Some of the damage, it said, was clearly intentional."

The people doing it were White House staffers, not the Clintons.

You mean those that Clinton was in charge over? Those staffers? Lol!
And he is supposed to know every little thing they are doing?

I'm more worried about bought off thieving Pubs wrecking the middle class and the poor for their greedy billionaire masters through corrupt policy than this kind of bs malevolent gossip. Hater dupes.

Most of the stuff were gifts
To the White House (that is, to the U.S. Government), not to the Clintons.
The Clintons didn't take anything.
'The Clintons didn't take anything'...says the blind, ignorant, brainwashed lib DESPITE the article specifically stating how they had to RETURN much of what they TOOK and had to PAY for the rest...good grief. The continuous displays of delusional denial in the face of facts is astounding.

I am sure this will be brought up during the national campaign, and you will find it is not true. You want it to be true, I know, with all your putrefied little heart, but you will find it isn’t.

They did nothing earlier presidents didn't do, but had the disgrace of a Pub propaganda service hounding them. Too bad the dupes base their hate on pure gossip, not political realty.

"Stealing is legal term and there has been no such charge made by any authority. The Clinton's took items given to them while they were in the White House, and what they took was agreed to by the White House managers. There are questions as to what was donated to them, and what was donated to the White House. It is important to note that items the Clinton took that were donated while they were in the White House may not fit the decor of the White House and be headed for a storage facility anyway. There have been claims that they took stuff that didn't belong to them from the White House, but the status of each item has to be cleared up to determine if they did. Before you donate anything to the White House, try to find out out of the current and likely future occupants want it. Items lacking a historical connection to the White House will almost certainly go into the trash , storage, or be loaned to members of Congress. Because donors may want something of theirs to become part of the White House does not mean that historians agree that it should be, or that there is room for it or money to maintain it. According to an article from February 2001 in the NY Times (see link below), they vowed to return any White House property they found mixed in with their own. It seems likely that the cost of determining the ownership and disposition of all the items in in question, will significantly exceed the value of the items. -Answers

Yep, we hold corporate executives to the same level everyday in this country.

No we don't. That is a total falsehood. We definitely do not

Yeah, that's why the Clintons had to return much of what they took and pay for the rest...
Why do most conservatives lie so much – perhaps one day a conservative will have the courage to answer.
I don't know. And the very same people pretend to be oh so religious. And there it is in their holy text, bearing false witness. But it doesn't stop them. It's like as long as they pretend to be religious, then that's all the counts.
Trump said his favorite book is the Bible. Does anyone? Anyone at all believe he has actually read any of it?

And NO ONE treats women better? LOL LOL

Religious? Well I guess you could tie your attempt to divert the conversation to religion to Hillary and Bill's stealing from the WH. After all, the 10 Commandments, which libs want to ban from public view - probably because it reminds citizens that what the politicians are doing is wrong / illegal - does say 'Thou shalt not steal'!

Look I don't say liberals are FILTH to be mean, its stating the obvious. These people will lie, cheat, spin, and apparently steal and destroy public property they have no sense of right and wrong.

After eight years of bushcheney, republicans complaining about scumbaggery is a hoot. Not that the clintons weren't scumbags, which they were and still are.

What was there about peace and prosperity under Bill that you didn't like??

No one wants to ban the Ten Commandments from public view. See idiot moron? You lie again. I just don't want your religious sayings that clearly you don't follow posted on public property I'm funding.

Get it?

Got it?

Good!

Politifact took on the claim that the Clinton's stole $200k in furniture, china and artwork from White House when they left office.

They succeed is arguing that the $200k figure was too high, but they fail to make the case that the Clintons did NOT attempt to make off with a 'treasure' of items that did not beling to them. As in almost every Clinton scandal, their defense comes down to how 'it was all an honest mistake'.

Politifact attempts to argue that, IN THE END, it was NOT 'stealing' becauae after they got busted they returned a lot of it and was forced to pay for much of what they took.

Evidently, according to liberals, it's only stealing if you take it and get away with it. If you get caught and have to return it and/or pay for it then it's NOT stealing.

POLITIFACT:
"The Clintons returned about $48,000 in furniture, and they paid the government about $86,000 for other items. Any way you count it, the $200,000 figure is too high."

Politifact's final decision is that the Clintons did not steal from the WH, NOT based on the fact that they didn't do it - which they did - but based on the disputed AMOUNT of how much they stole.
