You're mistaken. That's not how government programs work, bub. They inevitably exceed costs estimates and get More Expensive, not less.

The ACA is actually a Cost Based system. As Insurance Company profits and expenses are limited to 20% of premiums, they have every incentive to inflate the costs of the 80% (that is supposed to go to benefits) so that their 20% can get bigger. It's a very damaging incentive system that will make us pay far more for far less value.

But there is competition, bub.

That's different than "you'll get cancellation notices for plans you may or may not have been happy with, and then if you're lucky, you'll find something comparable at the exchanges, at a higher or lower cost."

That's not what Americans signed up for.

I'm surprised at how cheap the silver plan is here in Arizona, throw in subsidies and we should be paying about $250/month for two of us when we sign up in 2015. Good stuff.

Now go find out which doctors or hospitals will actually accept to treat you.

Govt. can't FORCE private businesses to accept any health care plan people walk in with.

Actually I created a thread a while back that the good hospitals in my area are refusing to take my insurance plan as of Jan 2014 because of Obamacare.

This is just the beginning of the catastrophe called Obamacare. Of course like communism, on paper it all made sense.
