Congressional Bill Would Allow Marijuana Imports And Exports Between Legal States
States would be able to legally import and export marijuana under a bill introduced by Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) on Thursday.

LOL the states are saying blank you bahahhah

Transporting it through states that have not legalized it would be problematic.

Not really. If you have to cross over states that aren't legal to get to ones that are, all you'd really have to do is fly it from one point to another.

It was unconstitutional to outlaw a productive agricultural crop.

It is unconscionable to keep it as a Schedule 1 drug.

You know, marijuana is one of those plants where the whole damn thing is useful. What you don't use for smoking, you can turn into cloth, paper, rope or food.

National Guard Escort Service, should the state decide to be a hard case.

I'm not so sure that would work. I think that National Guard troops from one state have to be invited by the governor of another state in order to be able to do things in the state that isn't theirs.

No, when you consider all the crap that would go along with something like that (permits, getting troop movements synched up, etc), it would be cheaper and easier to fly it from point to point.

Not what I meant. I meant the state in which it remains illegal would pickup suspected aerial transports and escort them to the nearest airport.

Personally, I think it's all crap. Legalize it. Tax the hell out of it. And leave people alone.

Why complicate it when you don't have to? In states where it is legal to grow and sell, just load it onto a plane in that state, and then simply fly it over the states where it's illegal (sorry, but you can't stop an aircraft in the sky and tell it to pull over for inspection), and land in the state where it's legal and then take it to wherever you need it.

Those being escorted can land at the airport or be shot down. Conversely, they can be met at their intended airport by federal agents.

Not saying I support all this crap, but never say can't.

You really aren't making much sense Billy. Short of military hardware, civilians don't have anything capable of bringing down a jet flying at 30,000 ft., and I seriously doubt that the military would be willing to shoot down a cargo jet for that. Besides, if they load in a state where it's legal, and fly it to another state where it's legal, and there is no hassle, because it's legal in the state where the jet took off from and landed.

Something like that would have helped out Nevada when they first legalized it, because when Nevada made it legal, the 420 shops were running out on a regular basis. Air shipments from someplace like CO would have helped a great deal.

I mentioned the National Guard early on.

I'm not saying these things would happen, but that they could happen.
