COF is the Led Zeppelin of modern black metal. Dani has such unique and original vocalizations. The metal is heavy and dark. As of late they are also utilizing the so-called "beauty and the beast" dichotomy, with Dani voicing the dark beast and a female vocalist singing in a traditional manner. Several metal bands are doing this today. But in my opinion, COF does it most effectively. Though, I note that Lacuna Coil is also pretty great at it. LC is just not as dark as COF, nor as metal.
