Yes, their presence in the US is a crime. Donā€™t bother explaining that to me. What matters, however, is the prevalence of separate crimes which is quite low. Is this because they are good, moral people compared to other people? Of course not. The reason why is pretty simple: any crime exposes their status of being undocumented. These people arenā€™t stupid. Maybe they might want to commit a crime because thatā€™s part of being human sometimes, but they know the risk of doing so is too great.

Criminal Immigrants in Texas: Illegal Immigrant Conviction and Arrest Rates for Homicide, Sex Crimes, Larceny, and Other Crimes

The point is, crime rates among actual citizens is higher. The arrest rate for illegals is 40% less than that of native born Americans according to Texas statistics.

Untrue. About 4.5 million illegal aliens in the U.S. drive on a regular basis, many without licenses or insurance, or even the ability to read road signs written in English. Have you never watched LivePD and wondered why so many of the perps were Hispanic?

The Office of Immigration Statistics reported that of the 188,382 deportations of illegal aliens in 2011, 23 percent had committed criminal traffic offenses. The estimates are that illegal alien drunk drivers kill 13 Americans every day ā€” thatā€™s a death toll of 4,745 per year.

In addition, according to the Center for Immigration Studies, another 23 percent, more than 43,000 illegal aliens, were convicted of drug offenses. Some other facts for you:

75 percent of those on the most wanted criminals list in Los Angeles, Phoenix and Albuquerque are illegal aliens.

One quarter of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals, as are more than 40 percent of all inmates in Arizona and 48 percent in New Mexico jails.

Over 53 percent of all investigated burglaries reported in California, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, and Texas are perpetrated by illegal aliens.

63 percent of cited drivers in Arizona have no license, no insurance and no registration for the vehicle. Of that number, 97 percent are illegal aliens. 66 percent of cited drivers in New Mexico have no license, no insurance and no registration for the vehicle. Of that 66 percent, 98 percent are illegal aliens.

Actually ā€œbeing illegal ā€œ is not a crime in itself . Entering the country without inspection is a crime . About 1/2 of illegals actually enter properly and overstay the visa .

Entering illegally is a crime. They commit a lot of crimes too. Thanks for the lies.

No way I would believe the garbage about the law abiding illegal alien. In sanctuary cities the illegal gets protections denied to citizens.

What you're missing is that many Latin American countries are culturally about 30 years behind the US in recognizing the seriousness of drunken driving.

Reagan once said, libtards know so much that isnā€™t true! Just to paraphrase!

Is the point of this thread to make us love the rats who cross our borders illegally?

Billy doesnā€™t realize that the police donā€™t even want to patrol areas where illegals live.
Thereā€™s a shitload of violent crime that doesnā€™t get reported or itā€™s on the last page of a web site because nobody gives a shit.

...as well as the implications of having sex with 12 year old girls. The age of consent in many Mexican states and South American countries is 12 years old. That's why so many Hispanic immigrants get charges with sexual offenses after they migrate here.

If you overstay your non-immigrant visa, it is considered to be a "civil violation," and not a "criminal violation." However, if you overstayed your non-immigrant visa and had "unlawful presence" in the United States for a period of one (1) year or more after your 18th birthday, then you could receive a ten year penalty under INA section 212(a)(9)(B).

I appreciate you offering some statistics. Iā€™ll even forgive you for not citing any of it. The problem, however, is that no one is saying illegal aliens donā€™t commit crimes. See the statistics that actually matter are how their crime rates compare to citizens. Youā€™re completely missing the point if you donā€™t make that comparison.

A couple of the statistics you listed are interesting Iā€™ll admit, but most of it is such a lame attempt at arguing the point. Really dude? Driving infractions? Them driving at all is illegal, but god forbid they join society in some capacity.

What is your source for this? Was it my own link? I didnā€™t get a chance to read the entire article.

Okay but letā€™s run with your driving infraction statistics. As illegal as the activity is to drive workout the proper paperwork, it doesnā€™t make these bad people who are a threat to everyone else. They just need a car to function in the real world. To suggest them committing any crime at all is immoral is pretty hypocritical considering that Iā€™m sure you, I, and basically everyone else has committed a crime before. We just got away with it.
