Among those sports fans that have been studied, the vast majority are of average or above average intelligence too. So far I haven't found any studies focused on Soccer or Boxing or UFC fans but based on all the other studies, it is pretty much a given that sports fans over all are going to be as smart or smarter than the average bear.

I have one friend who is a member of MENSA who is a second or third degree black belt in karate and a huge UFC fan. Really for those who say UFC fans are low IQ, doesn't martial arts make as much sense for physical fitness as boxing or team sports? And doesn't it make more sense as a self defense tool than boxing or team sports?

What is heart warming though is those who appreciate sports the most are probably mostly those who love America the most and Trump fits right in.
