Cuomo is more moderate than people think, but he's being pulled left via Cynthia Nixon's campaign and the DemSocialist darling from the Bronx.

Now that I am thinking about it. Cuomo pardoned them for their selling drugs and DUI - not for violating US immigration law. I wonder if ICE could still snag these guys and deport them for that?
