I liked DP mark I version, shown here covering the Beatles Help

They also covered We Can Work it Out

Some FANTASTIC guitar playing that you never heard with Emeretta and Wring that neck just 2 of them

Loved Ritchie’s fingerpicking at the end

Deep Purple. A band which should have risen to super-group status but never got the marketing support of the record labels.

Agreed!! Smoke On The Water.....a classic. Highway Star........Prequel to Zepphelin and Boston.........That keyboard sound!

I thought Who Do We Think We Are and Made In Japan were among their best albums. My biggest complaint for the band: too many of their songs were all 5 minute packaged tunes seemingly all made for airplay on FM radio. Too little extended improvisation. One of their exceptions, and my favorite song of theirs:

Turn it up LOUD
